We are here. I promise you it is amazing. 4 days in and 10 to go with absolutely no one raising any concerns.

Food choice is fantastic, to such a point that my children are questioning why we would want to change from the Laguna (sea front restaurant). Incredible choice of food, far more than everyone could eat, leaving you questioning just how much they waste!

Watersports team are first class and can't do enough to help.

Rooms are kept impeccably clean and are spacious. Air conditioning actually adjusts and is very effective.

Staff are incredibly friendly, both Hapimag and MW.

Logistics worked well.

The one other point that merits mentioning is just how many people here had read a particular negative report on Trip Advisor and ended up with fear and trepidation leading up to the trip, which we all agree was not helpful and was a great disappointment. Without exception they all agree that the person/people who complained that the watersports staff don't know what they are doing, or there is no choice of food and the quality is bad, or complained about the beach being too small, or the fact that there's a hill etc etc are talking rubbish. OK, so there's a hill but only the physically impaired, aged or seriously unfit would struggle but if I recall the MW and Sea Garden website both refer to the hotel complex being on a hill.

What's more the reviews are factually incorrect. The Laguna restaurant is a fish restaurant 2 nights per week, otherwise there are a choice of perhaps a dozen hot dishes and plentiful salads. The shuttle service runs when you want it to - if you need it, just pick up the telephone!

If you want to complain about it I'm sure you can find something to say but relax, chill out, get in the holiday mood and have a fantastic time. Everyone here is.

Enjoy your stay and ignore the misguided few who appear to be sponsored by a worried competitor!

Oh, by the way, this is our second MW holiday with the first being around 7 - 8 years ago. We'll struggle to get our children to go elsewhere next year!

Room Tip: Try for block 1 or 2 to be waterfront. We're in block 4 which is at the top of the resort but ab...

We are just back from a great holiday with MW at Sea Garden. From the T5 BA flights at sensible times to the Indy club, the excellent staff and the good food, it was all excellent. I am amazed at the negative comments and experienced none of the problems that some people describe.

On arrival at Bodrum airport you need to buy a visa for each person in your group before going thru immigration, the desk is just beyond passport control, they accept Euro, Sterling or T Lira. It is a small airport and bags appear promptly downstairs, the transfer to the resort is about 50 minutes. The hotel forms, kids club forms and wrist bands are all handed out on the coach so check in at the hotel is swift. Once you have your keys then you are left to find your rooms while your bags are delivered by the staff. Block 4 is nearest to the hotel reception and block 1 nearest the beach, you just follow the winding steps and everything is clearly signed.

The rooms are comfortable and the bed huge. There is tea and coffee with mugs and a kettle plus free water. The mini bar is stocked and priced at usual hotel rates but there is no need to use any of it and we moved somethings aside to make space for extra water. The air con is very effective and runs when the room is unoccupied so you always return to a lovely cool room. We travelled with teenagers and had three rooms adjacent to each other as requested. The rooms were cleaned well every day and the maids even tidied my kids messy clothes up!

There is a welcome dinner on Sunday where you can meet other families if you wish to and this included a table for the older teens who were too old for Indy. This worked well for our 18 year old and our other kids joined the Indy dinner. From that point we rarely saw any of them, they made great friends with a lovely bunch of kids and were supervised by the tireless MW staff. The under 18s are not supposed to drink and the different coloured wristbands do show who is under age. The bar staff and MW staff are pretty good at making them stick to policy although by the second week many had found loopholes. However, behaviour was very good and it felt like a reasonably safe environment for the kids to enjoy some freedom.

My husband and I met some lovely people too. It was great to relax in the Sunset bar and chat over cocktails or enjoy a shopping trip without trailing children. We went on a great boat trip with just 5 other couples and spent the day swimming in little coves and enjoying good food. The other sailors and windsurfers were all very supportive in the classes and during the good natured races. A great bunch of people!

We all enjoyed the food. There is always a great selection of salads with freshly cooked meat or fish plus chips, pizza and chicken nuggets for the less healthy! The desert selection is amazing with wonderful displays of fresh fruit. Soft drinks and beer are self service too so there was little waiting. The serving staff in all the restaurants were brilliant, they cleared and reset tables very quickly, brought carafes of wine and bottles of water to the table as soon as you were seated and there was always someone to clear up any spills immediately. We went to the Italian restaurant and the Mexican, both were good and the atmosphere lovely. The Turkish street fair is fun and we enjoyed good service. There was something available to eat and drink from 7am until midnight everyday - you need all the steps to make sure you don't come home 5kg heavier!

The waterfront is great with two good swimming pools plus a pool for little kids, a reasonable beach area with sand OK for buckets and spades plus two big deck areas. There were many more sunbeds than guests even in the height of the season and although a few favourite spots were saved early in the morning there really was no need. For beginner and intermediate sailors the resort is great. The kit isn't extensive but the staff are very helpful and happy to give support both in the lesson times and at other times too. Safety is great and the rescue boat is very quick to come to your aid if you capsize or drift onto the rocks. The wind is generally light in the mornings then picks up through the day so that by the end of the afternoon it gets fairly hairy. It is worth taking an early morning walk around the area too, the hotel provides walking maps and the routes are very well marked. Of particular note is the walk right up to the radio mast, the views are fantastic from the top and a huge amount of work has been up in to make the path really good. If you are a really keen runner it would be possible to run up however a normal person can walk up and back in about an hour!

Overall we had one of our best ever holidays and I would not hesitate to return. Huge thanks to all the MW, SEA and Hotel staff for doing a great job and making us all feel very welcome.

I stayed here for 2 weeks in July with Mark Warner.
Hapimag manage the hotel and Mark Warner the water sports and child are which are excellent.
We were all inclusive.
There where several speciality restaurants and each adult was given 2 tokens/week
To eat at them.
I ate in the Italian Speciality restaurant which was quite good and Mini Bodrum which
is an alleyway of outdoor restaurants in the resort.
The service here was poor and made worse by the fact that Turkish visitors where blatantly served before all other people. I experienced this several times myself.
It says it all when an Englishman who spoke Turkish was complaining about the shoddy service.
You could be seated and wait 20 minutes to be given an armband to allow you to
Serve yourself.
The main restaurant Amphora was self service but staff would see you at the table and not
Lay the table, even though they had seated you their.
The best restaurant was Laguna where breakfast was taken, buffet style, overlooking the Aegean
Sea. Bizarrely it was only open in the evenings as a book able fish restaurant , whereas the main restaurant Amphora, was dark and had no outside space whatsoever.
This was my 2nd Mark Warner holiday and I did enjoy the beach, bar and pool, but I won't be back to Sea Garden resort, because I don't go on holiday to get stressed and upset.
The parts of the holiday that Mark Warner had control over eg the child care and water sports where very good.
When my son was ill, the Mark Warner staff where very caring and even offered to collect a meal for him from the restaurant so that I didn't have to pay room service.
BA flights where great.
I will probably go Mark Warner again, but not to the SeaGarden.

Room Tip: Blocks 1 and 2 are closer to the beach.

Firstly I must say I'm really surprised by any negative reviews about this place. As a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) travelling with Mark Warner we had a fantastic 2 week holiday.
Yes there are steps but there are also sloping paths for the less able, they were never an issue for us. The food was plentiful and very tasty, we never got bored which can sometimes be the case with buffet food. There were so many other choices such as the restaurants in mini Bodrum and the lovely waffles and ice cream. The hotel staff could never do enough for us, they were always polite, friendly and constantly clearing plates away and re-setting the tables as quickly as possible. Yes the beds were a little on the hard side, but the hotel staff happily provided us with an extra duvet to put over the mattress which really helped. The transfer from Heathrow from T5 with BA was amazing and so stress free and the Mark Warner staff were all fantastic. Thanks to Jen, Donna, Chess, Liam and Adam in particular for making this a special holiday for each one of us. We would definitely return. Oh and just one other thing the Spa treatments were amazing, a big thanks to Fatima for the wonderful Massages and Hamam.

We have just returned from a Mark Warner holiday at this resort, very relaxed after a wonderful hassel free week. Bravo to Mark Warner for pairing up with BA for the charter flights our of T5, (excellent) and the beautiful Hapimag Sea Garden Resort which we found to be Well run, clean and well maintained. With Two teenage boys (16 + 18) the all inclusive worked very well, no nickle and diming on soft drinks and local Beer and wine very drinkable. The food was good quality and freshly prepared our one complaint was the buffet in the main restaurant where it claimed to have a "theme" each night which was not the case, you do have a choice to book to eat in other restaurants for two nights and we luckily did this early in the week, others were not so fortunate and found the main restaurant got very boring! The resort is very hilly and there is lots of walking to do but that did not bother us but I could imagine a bit of a nightmare with small children or elderly people. The mini Bodrum area was great to walk to in the evening with some good shops. MW, hotel and BA staff all very efficient and helpful. We would go back :-)

We have been on many MW holidays before and were pleasantly surprised by the picturesque resort location. The BA flight was great, on time and comfortable. The first problem we encountered was at the airport in Turkey. We hadn't been informed about the visas and did not have enough sterling to pay for them and the staff would not accept the Turkish lira we did have. Very embarrassingly we asked another family if we could borrow some money, fortunately they were kind enough to help us. Not a great start. The transfer to resort was good, water was provided on the coach but not seat belts.

On arrival at the resort, the check in was relatively smooth and bags were brought to our rooms. We had requested adjacent rooms and technically this happened if you discounted the stairwell between the rooms. We were in Block 1 and initially this seemed to be a great location. It proved otherwise as the week progressed. MW settling in meetings were fine. All info required to have a greats holiday was provided.

After the meeting, everyone climbed the hill to the Amphora for dinner. What a disaster! The restaurant ran out of hot food, plenty of salad available but not particularly of interest to fussy children. As soon as one of the eight serving containers on the hot plate was filled, it was emptied again. This pretty much happened at most meals from then on, especially if it was something that children found palatable. There were a lot of irate people that night.

Ours rooms were spacious and had a great king size bed but the mattress was like concrete. Not conducive to a good nights sleep. Great water pressure in the shower and very clean.

Childcare was its usual excellent Mark warner standard. My youngest child settled well in kids club with the wonderful Chess but my other child was not as lucky. Unfortunately, there was a particularly feral bunch of preteens at the resort who were left to roam wild by their parents. This arrogant gang were intimidating and made their presence felt all week. I mentioned this to childcare after the first day and they said they would have a word with them. At meal times, these 8 or so children sat together and were rowdy and rude. In the end it was the restaurant manager, not MW, that made them sit in a separate area so as not to disturb other families. At night, it became apparent that we had badly located rooms, as these same children played chase up and down our ground floor corridor. This went on till gone 10pm most nights. Very annoying when you are trying to get a young child to sleep. Again I spoke to MW, the customer service manager, Jen, and she could only offer a sympathetic smile and maintained the children were their parents concern. Another night, we were treated to knock, knock, run. I rang reception to ask to speak to Darren, the MW resort manager, I was informed that he would get back to me in the morning, not much use when we were being kept awake. Darren never got back to us.

This is a lovely resort and if the food issues get sorted, then I am sure you will enjoy it. Hopefully you won't be unlucky enough to have a gang of brats staying there at the same time as you.

We went to hapimag sea garden as a group of 7 adult and 5 kids. Totally we disappointed. First of all the food was tasteless, we were so exhausted to wait shuttle for room to beach, beach to reception etc. they have only one shuttle. we were 12 people and the shuttle capacity was less than that. So all the time we were waiting, for the next lift and couldn't move as a group. There are 3 beaches, the beach next to the restaurant wasn't big and it has difficulty to find a sunbed available and the water was wavy. There is no shuttle connection directly one beach to an another. It is difficult to deal with shuttle and make a trip to reach other beach with kids. So you'd better stay where you are!briefly, they make you stuck into the small wavy beach with disaster food! Other beaches has own restaurant and nothing is free of charge. The beds, cleaning, airconditioning are average. This will be the first and last visit to sea garden and I will share that with my friends
