just returned fron staying in this wonderful hotel on the bodrum peninsula. this is our third holiday in turkey, we have previously been to icemeler( also a wonderful place) and kushadasi( great hotel about 2 miles away from the resort ).
the hotel is in an attractive setting , with two pontoons jutting into the sea where you can pick up pedalos, canoes windsurfers and watersking. as well as the general restaurant the are three other themed restaurants , bookable 24 hours in advance, one for fish , one for italian and the last one turkish. the food is excellent and the waiter sevice is a nice respite from the buffet style of the main dining room. the food was excellent in all eateries, especially the fresh tuna , skinned as you ( and the cats ) watched on the terrace, then cooked in small thin slces.
the spa in the hotel is also brilli ant with free hamam, plunge pool etc and beauty treatments at an extra charge. this is the first time we have been all inclusive and in this hotel for the little extra you pay you certainly get your moneys worth. wearing a wrist band ruins the suntan but providing you ask they will make the band looser so it can be removed provide you keep it with you at all times as the security guards are very thorough in ejecting anyone who isnt resident
take a boat trip in the albatross boat down in the marina, they go in two different directions on different days- you will have a great day out
in the village there is a graet ice cram shop and it is worth spending some of your dosh having pudding there instead of the hotel. also , men , get yourself a shave from one of the two brothers who run the local hairdressers- anot to be missed experience
we flew with onur airlines- safe but utterly charmless staff on the aircraft and not very good food. also bodrum airport is very expensive so bring your own food and water if necessary as for a family it would work out pricey
if you decide to enquire about property in the area there is a nice british guy in turgutries, he has his own agency, who will be most helpful.

My fiance and I absolutely loved every minute of it. We only went for a week but hope to return again in a few months!
The rooms werent as big as expected but there was everything you needed. They were cleaned everyday. The mini bar consists of just water and a can of something (not sure what is was.)
Our room view wasnt that nice so worth spending a bit extra to get a sea view.
The food was lovely, im a fussy eater but i found plenty to eat. The pancakes for breakfast were lovely! I had them everyday, the honey is so much better than here.
There were various meats and veg so dont worry about having to live on fast food.
There were plenty of beds to sunbathe, no need to wake up at stupid hours of the morning to reserve a bed.
There was a breeze which i found very refreshing as the weather was so hot!
The staff are wonderful, very friendly and speak good english. They aim to please but do not harrass you.
The entertainment of a night was ok.
Lots of sports activities are organised for those of you who get bored with laying in the sun.
Watersports are great fun!
We went on a few trips via thomson reps. I wouldnt recommend the turkish baths, have it at the hotel instead, so much better! The mud bath was ok but it was a very long day, u left at 6.20 am and didnt get back till 7.30pm.
Bodrum market is worth a visit, as long as you dont mind getting harrassed! They do sell most of the same things so do barter with them! We got some really good deals
All in all i definitely recommend this hotel, not 5* but def a 4*.

what a great hotel, brochure does nt do it justice, lovely setting overlooking kos, arrived 4am checked in very quickly and luggage taken to our room and what a room.King size bed for me and hubby, twin beds for the boys aged 10 and 5 in a separate area, fantastic sea view ,huge bathroom with toiletries.Pool areas are great although sunbeds are a little crammed together, eldest one loved slides as did hubby, little one prefered little pool. The food was great so much choice and the snack bar was good for a change, pizza, chips, burger etc the fresh barbeque outside is a must. The staff here were excellent especially dogan and the team always on the go and what a terrific dancer he is,one minute dressed as a clown for the kids club next putting a show on in the ampitheatre, after the mini disco which the kids loved. The sports were good as well on the beach ,banana boat ,water skiing etc.If you want a boat trip see Mauret,he has the Albatross boat what a great guy he is,we did 7 stops lunch included from 11am till 6.30 £25.The town itself is 10mins along the front a nice place with shops, bars but dont miss the market on a saturday what an experience that is the even come from bodrum for that.I also tried the spa and they are very good i had a mud wrap, massage, manicure, pedicureand a hydrotherapy session. We could not fault this hotel and lots we spoke to said the same its always a good sign when guests return the following year.

We stayed at this hotel for a week at in September 2006. The hotel was very nice, clean and had quite a modern feel to the reception areas.

The rooms were basic, not very much hanging space for clothes, the bathroom in our room was good with a massive walk in shower. The mini bar (if you could call it that) is very basic with just some water & fruit juice. Overall the rooms were kept spotless. The cards to open the doors and also to switch on the electricity were a pain to use (especially after a session at the bar!!)

The food is good with a wide variety for everyone, we found plenty to eat with lots of experimental foods as well!. The cocktails are pretty poor at the bar, but we tended to stick to the spirits.

The poolside entertainment during the day was very good with lots to do all day long, rifle shooting, volleyball, football, etc. The entertainment in the evenings was pretty good, lots of varied shows to watch in the amphitheatre.

We would recommend the Turkish Bath in the spa (extra cost), they are so relaxing and soothing!.

Take a trip to the turkish market in the local town, it is an experience and a great place to pick up a few counterfeit goods!!.

All in all the hotel is good, but with so many other places in the world to visit I dont know If i will be back to the aegean dream.

This hotel was excellent, In the sea food restaurant, the sea bass was tasty, they also had a good Italian restaurant. There was a snack bar on the beach, and the main restauant served both Lunch and Evening meal and also midnight feast, the choice was very good, it would be dificult not to find something you liked. Staff where pleasant, friendly and helpful. Good beds around the Pool area which was a very pleasant area to sit and also on the board walks out into the sea, as well as on the beach. Also nice area out side the Reception to sit. The whole Hotel was kept spotlessly clean, and the rooms very comfortable. Plenty to do if you felt like it, Archery, Football, Volley Ball, Shooting, and Canoes etc on the beach. A lot of the Guests where there for the second or third time. Spa at the Hotel but we did not use the facilites there. The only slight downside was the drinks, as with all all inclusives they where not brilliant, but worth it for the rest of the Hotel, would I go back, yes.

We have never been to Turkey before and i was a bit dubious about going as people seem to love it or hate it. We stayed at the Aegean Dream Hotel over may bank holiday, 2 adults and 2 kids and had a fabulous time.

The rooms were modern and clean, although a bit tired in areas. The staff were very efficeint and friendly with a good grasp of english. the hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. the staff really seemed happy in their work unlike some of their spanish counterparts !

The food was varied and catered for most tastes(it maybe a bit samey if you are there 2 weeks but aren't all hotels ). Our favourite bar was the starlight bar where we had a glass of champagne every night while looking at the amazing sunsets.

The kids favourite things were the water slides which they loved. Operates 10 till 12pm and 2 till 4pm and the internet cafe which was free. They made lots of friends and the hotel seemed very safe to let them have a little freedom. my husband loved the free watersports and went water skiing most days.

the entertainment in the evening was a bit naff but we did other things instead.

It is a very hotel based holiday with not much apart from the nearby village to explore. So if you like to get out and about you will need to book excursions or hire a car something we would normally do but did not feel brave enough to do on our first trip to Turkey.

the reception staff and manager are more than happy to help you if you have any problems, we changed rooms, to a higher floor and I would go direct to them and by-pass your rep.

one last tip is to book the hotel photographer for the sunset pictures. they are really good quality. we were really pleased with ours and bought 25 ! they work out at £4 a picture for 8" by 6" prints which is a lot cheaper than professional ones at home and you get the fabulous sunset in the background.

we may even go back to this hotel next year and we never go any where twice !!
