We have beeen going to Turgutreis most years since 1994 when my son was 3. He is now nearly 16 and we can honestly say we have never had a bad stay at the Cemre. The hotel is basic but clean and very friendly. The staff have obviously changed a lot over the years, but the same family own the hotel and they are always lovely and helpful. We have never had any worries about the children and the staff have always made them very welcome. There has been a lot of new hotels built, but they are big and very noisey and seem quite impersonal. The cleaning staff at the Cemre work so hard and are trustworthy and the bar/restaurant staff add fun and laughs to your holiday, their English being excellent.
I would say that if you want a reasonably priced holiday, the Cemre is perfect, the position of the hotel is good, being a 10 minute stroll into the main town which is always bustling with plenty of bars and eateries. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, the sea is only a few steps across a pedestrian path. I think some people expect too much, I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Turgutreis.

when i arrived at the cemre hotel i was amazed at the views they were beautiful out of this world.
after a number of minuites i got to know the staff this is how lovely and caring they are. it was my birthday the day i arrived and so the restraunt manager arranged a birthday cake for me and for the whole hotel to sing it was fab.the hotel was practically perfect in every way food was amazing drinks were cheap rooms were lovely hotel was welcoming and the staff we as if you were family they would bend over backwards to help you thank you so much for a holiday which was out of this world and i will see you next year

this hotel is rated as 2* in my opinion this should be raised for the sheer hard work all the staff put in to make your holiday memorable it is extremely clean and the food is delicious the staff go out of their way to make you welcome and comfortable.
I read bad reviews people had left for the hotel but these were outnumbered by the good i decided to give them the benifit of the doubt and am so glad i did i have booked two holidays for 2008 in the cemre and cannot wait to return and to those of you that left negative feedback i suggest you dig deeper in your pockets if you want 5* you have to pay for it but i don't believe you will find a friendlier hotel look forward to seeing my new turkish friends next year kind regards heather johnson

I had read the reports about this hotel, before I left. However this was a last minute holiday for myself. I am not a snob, but this is not a two star hotel by anymeans. The room was shabby, smelt of drains, and my linen was not changed all week. I moved from one single bed to the other. I had to dump the towels on the reception desk, and request clean ones. I was in the bathroom, and there were sparks coming out of a grill in the wall, and the smoke alarms were set off. The lad on reception merely explained, oh they are working on the roof!! The staff seemed very unhappy, and three were sacked or left. The owners were only interested in collecting the lira, which was the only time they had a smile on their face. The hotel is in a lovely setting, however is in need of a complete overhaul. I have complained to First Choice, and many other guests will be doing the same to theirs.
