“Great location but overall not so great, However an AMAZING VIEW.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2010

Ok, for starters its a budget hotel so dont get too excited. Lets mention the extras first. £10 for the safe (at reception) for the week. £20 for air conditioning for the week, trust me you are going to need it but took ages to get the temperature right, ice box sometimes. The room was cramped and the bed was quite poor, very basic indeed. The bathroom was poor mainly due to the shower which was'nt hot in the morning due to the solar panels not heating up the water until the evening. The water was salty and towels were not in plentiful supply. A nice note saying that if you get them overly dirty they will charge you for some more, Eh? The view however was amazing from the top floor but there is NOT a lift, hard work in the heat and no good for elderly guests. We didnt eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food but I think it was pretty basic fare. Breakfast was melon, bread, jam, cheese, egg, coffee or tea (no juice) The hotel did have a nice beach and plenty of sun loungers just yards from the cooling water, did'nt use pool so cant comment. The staff seemed friendly enough, no real issues. The walk into town was lovely and took about 30 minutes, often busy so no issues with crime etc. Over all the hotel was ok, make the most of what you get if you choose to stay there.

Before you read on, please take my advise and don't go there. in short let me tell you that if this place exist in UK it would have been closed ages ago. When you book the travel agent don't tell you the breakfast is Turkish. Ok for adult perhaps but what about kids who have never eaten Olive and boiled egg, not to mention the watermelon. Rooms are filthy. you will find all kind of insects in there. ants and so for. Showers don't work and when they do you are already standing in some 1/2m of water because drainage don't work. You will be lucky to have your linen and towels changed every three days. Swimming pool is horrible. filthy and chemicals poured in when you complain but no notice is taken about the people swimming in the pool. not to mention the depressed owners who never smile not even to each other. the lads working there are nice but overall their English is really poor and you struggle to communicate with anyone. I can go on and on but had enough talking about this place. DO NOT GO THERE...............................YOU WILL REGRET IT

Never have we been treated so bad in all the times we have visited Turkey,1 member of the management was so rude and nasty that we was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, this was due to our holiday company going bust (Goldtrail) she said if we did not pay then she would throw us out,she gave us no information or advice on the situation we was in,all she was interested in was taking our money, previous to this she said we was only b&b but we had the paper work confirming we paid for half board but this was not good enough for her,so we asked if we could use the phone or the computer to rectify the problem to which she said no as they were for business use only (was this not a business issue??) she is just a money grabber,so be careful!!
The hotel itself is run down and quite dirty and whoever says the food is lovely needs to try the nicer places in the town, where you get more than 3 chips.
The Aydem just up the road is a 2 star and it is much much better than this hotel!!!!!!!!
However the location is great, the boys who work the bar are great and Turgetreis itself is a lovely place.
We would return to this resort just not this hotel and I know you pay for what you get but being friendly and helpful doe not cost a penny.

When you pay £50 per person for a weeks holiday you don't really have too many expectations.
This hotel was brilliant - right on the sea front, amazing views of the sunset. Friendly staff, clean rooms. lovely chill out roof terrace.
if there was any drawbacks I would say there is a 15mintue walk into the centre but at times this was quite nice after eating and drinking too much.
breakfast is turkish breakfast and a small selection but again what do people expect when you pay this much per night.
I would definitely advise getting the aircon in your room, especially in the hotter months.
lovely place.

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday with my wife and a friend and once again could not find fault with the hotel. Rooms were spotless, bedding changed at least every two days and towels every day. A lot of complaints from other guests about shower but ours was clean and all sealed although grouting was very poor. Staff once again was brilliant nothing too much bother. Food in Hotel up to usual high standard but we also visited local restaurants ie Anatolia, Cool Breeze, The Captain, The Villa and Mona Lisa. H. at The Captain is a scream as he lived in Scotland and has still sayings. Difficult to see what people are looking for in a 2 star Hotel. We only use room for sleeping in but if people expect 5 star luxury then they need to pay 5 star prices.
Have booked to go back there again in 2011 and still trying for a further week in September. Yes we love it there to use as a base to tour the area. One thing you must have is turkish bath - out of this world.

Spent 2 weeks at this hotel 2nd July to 16th. Location is fabulous however the hotel is basic and although fairly clean the shower was filthy. Food is OK and on a good day you got 6 chips with your meal! On whole it is OK - if you get a cheap deal. The hotel would benefit from having new owners. Beware at Bodrum airport they are charging £5 for a can of cola and the same for a cup of coffee. The Turks are cashing in on the prices chardged in Europe. Having said all this we had a good time mainly because of the people we met.

I'll try to keep it short. The pillows are hard and lumpy as are the mattresses. Two of six beds provided our group had broken bases so sagged in the middle. We did tell management - they tried to get a bed out of the room (didn't try turning it around) - failed so just left them. My air conditioning unit leaked water into the wardrobe and soaked my clothes - TWICE! Our bathroom was the worst of the three rooms we had - broken shower stall and just generally scruffy and run down. The rooms are VERY small and the cleaners would spend around 3 minutes per room!!! Our floor was filthy the whole stay.

So, some good points. We had a wonderful bunch of fellow brits to share our holiday with. We arrived Friday and my case arrived Monday afternoon! One lovely lady gave me clothes (thanks Marie), two more gave me travel wash (thanks Nikki and Wendy) and another couple (so sorry I didn't get your names) took my details home with them on the Saturday so they could phone from UK and locate my case for me. They all restored my faith in the human race!

The resort is beautiful but SOOOOO expensive. Take lots of money. The walk is lovely into town but when you're hot and tired it seems awfully long. Had food and drinks at the Cemre been more reasonably priced we would have eaten there more often.

In short - I wouldn't go there again but we did enjoy our holiday .... eventually! If you want cheap accommodation and can put up with the shoddy state of the place then it's ok.
