“Unexpected treasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2009

Enjoyed holiday, went 5 yrs ago (club cherry), never knew this side of Turgutreis existed.
Completely different, enjoyed very much. Stayed at Aydem Hotel, five steps to the beach, good beach bar, friendly staff, clean hotel, shame small balconies to view beautiful sunset.. Would definitely go again. Cant wait to develop photos. Cafe restaurant Nasur, in the market place, not to be missed.

Wonderful stay at this lovely - end of the prom - hotel. A leisurely stoll into town on the prom takes about 15 minutes. You can go via the back streets as well for an interesting look at some of the locals. You just have to visit the local Bazaar on Saturdays. The hotel location is superb and fantastic for swimming straight from the beach which is just yards from the hotel's beach bar. At sunset, just sit round the beach bar and watch the sun set over the sea. Ahhh!
Great service at the hotel and really wonderful food too. We stayed BB & Evening Dinner and we never really needed a lunch. Great Turkish food!
Clean rooms and basic, but with everything you need, including free aircon. We took our own mini kettle and tea/coffee. If you're near the hotel pool there's free water from a dispenser at the poolside. The water in the shower is FRESH WATER and not at all brackish. Believe me, I was a Water Engineer for 31 years. The water in the pool IS brackish, but beautifully clean. Not a big pool, but ok for a dip and great for children. With the sea so close, who needs a pool? Loads of free sunbeds everywhere.
On the street at the front of the hotel there are several small shops - open all hours - where you can get all sorts of essentials including fresh bread and beer at very reasonable prices. Around 200 metres from the front of the hotel, on the left going into town, there's a small Tour Company, called Turgutreis Tours, that can book trips around the area. If you book more than one trip, don't forget to bargain.
Oh yes, the aircon failed on the second day, a Sunday, but they had an engineer there within 1 hour and fixed, sort of. It played up a bit more, but they sorted it ok. and it didn't spoil the holiday. (Don't trust digital gizmos. Old fashioned is best!)
And one parting shot. The hotel Manageress speaks wonderful English and used to have a really far out career. Go ahead, ask her about it!

First trip to turlkey and really enjoyed it. Was a little worried about our hotel choice after reading some reviews but there was nothing to worry about as our concerns were soon put to rest once we arrived. The hotel is well maintained and rooms cleaned every day all staff were very freindly and helpful. The small private beach is great and we had fun jumping from the floating pontoon into the waves. Our room was at the front of the hotel which had no balconey but instead we had the whole roof terrace to use which had some chairs tables and washing lines to use. The beach bar is lovely and great to grab a drink while looking out to sea watching the fab sunsets night after night. The walk into the main resort area is only 15-20 mins , a nice walk along the sea front passing lots of other hotels, bars and restraunts. The hotel is a great base, we were bed and breakfast which was great as so many choices to eat out every night enjoyed every meal we had. Would reccommned this hotel could not fault it in any way.

Lovely family run hotel, rooms small but clean and very comfortable. Sun loungers around the pool and on the beach were very comfortable with lovely bean bag type cushions .Quiet at night and views from balcony over pool and sea stunning. We sat at the beach bar in the evening and watched the most amazing sunsets, you wanted to pinch yourself to make sure it wasn't a dream. Walk into town very nice (about 20 mins) but lots of little bars and restaurants on the way.The staff at the hotel were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Pool is small but most of the time it was empty so could have a decent swim. Food was very good. We did not want to come home and are definately going to book again for next year. It was pure bliss.
