2 adults and 4 children between 15 and 10 absolutely loved it and want to go back. Not many English, but that was OK, the Belgium's? some were rude and some were not the same as the English. The food was great, the location fantastic and the rooms spotless. The only negative was the First Choice rep. useless and not interested.

“Absolutely loved Isil”

Isil Club Bodrum

My boyfriend and i have just returned from a weeks holiday at Isil Club and we can honestly say it was the best holiday we have been on.
After reading previous reviews about the Isil we were a bit concerned about the lack of English and the way that some of the reviews had made the staff seem unfriendly but we could tell this was not the case as soon as we walked through the door.
All the staff were exceptional and they went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed to make our holiday special.
The whole hotel was spotless and there was always staff cleaning all through the day. The rooms were modern and clean although the airconditioning unit was above the bed, making it a bit cold to have on at night.
The food was unbelievable, so much variety and everything was delicious.
The other guests were extremely friendly and although there were very few English guests it did not bother us one bit, it was lovely to meet so many other people.
We did not realy have a problem with finding sun loungers as we went on a pontoon by the sea each day however it did seem hard if you wanted a sunlounger by the pool.
The entertainment crew were great, they did not hassle you if you did not want to join in and we had great fun laughin at the people who did.
We booked our holiday with first choice who i have to say were rubbish. Our rep didn't seem to have a clue and when we booked to go to a Turkish Bath the coach never turned up. This happened to another couple as well.
However the spa at the hotel was lovely and we had a Hammam scrub and two massages there, fantastic!!!!
I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone!!

“If you want busy you will find it here!!!!”

Isil Club Bodrum

A typical Isil club day consisted of a fight for a sunbed in the mornings. This equates to not enough beds and too many insomniac French and Belgium visitors who reserve the beds in batches of ten at some ungodlyhour so there was little chance for anyone else.
Breakfast was ok as always plenty of room as the insomniacs were back in bed by this time. Mid morning pool games and activities are available if you like that sort of thing.
Next comes lunch where you have another rush this time for a table. There are not enough tables and chairs for everyone to sit down at the same time as lunch is from 12.30-2pm. There is a snack bar serving limited late lunches.
In the afternoon there are more pool activities along with a serving of tea and biscuits/cakes.
In the evening's dinner starts at 8pm. There are bars for pre-dinner drinks but only around 50 or so seats to relax on so needless to say there is little chance of sitting down before or after dinner. The same problem with dinner occurs as it had at lunch time with the lack of tables and chairs.
There is a show most nights. I visited the first evening and left after a few minutes as I found the humour very offensive and wasnt impressed as there were a lot of young children watching, needless to say I didnt go back again.
The food was excellent and there was a large variety at every meal time. the chef's excelled themselves with the desserts which left you spoilt for choice as they all looked and tasted delicious. The staff were very attentive and friendly but I found they were given the run around by our foreign friends (They must have maids at home as they found it hard to leave their seats to fetch their own drinks).
The bedrooms were spacious but the bathroom causes problems if you are a family as you can see through large gaps in the glass door. Our toilet/bathroom area appeared dirty most of the time. You couldnt get dressed in the bathroom as it flooded when you showered. The sink was actually in the bedroom and you had a large metal walk in cage which was in fact your wardrobe situated in the middle of the room and is a strange contraption.
The hotel grounds were well kept. You will find yourself very isolated as there wasnt anywhere to walk in the evenings other than around the grounds as you were litterally in the middle of nowhere. There are decked areas near the beach which could have been used for somewhere to go for a quiet drink in the evnings and escape the hussle and bussle but alas they were used for sunbathing which I personally thought a waste of time.
If you choose to leave the complex there is a Dolmus every half an hour to take you into Bodrum about 20 minutes away and this costs less than £1 per person or a taxi for about £10.
I found the hotel far too busy but this is only my personal opinion and other visitors may think differently.

we have recently returned from isil club bodrum(milta). we knew we would love it as soon as we walked through the doors.

the reception staff were very efficiant and were on hand whenever you needed them. whilst we were there we lost a camara and a watch they were both found within a day.

the waiters and cleaners couldnt be more friendly, they kept the hotel spotless and made sure that nothing was out of place. the waiters were there anytime of the day even when we were having dinner they were cleaning the sunbeds!!

the watersports were great fun and the people that worked there were the best! they made great teachers when you dont know how to sail!

there were also 7 boxer dogs at the hotel which were there mascots they are very cute!!

the animation team were very friendly and kept you entertained during the day. however the evining entertainment wasnt very well rehersed and sometimes very boring.

the food at the hotel was lovely. they had so much choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. over all our holiday was the best we had ever had. thankyou!!!!!

This is probably one of the best family holidays we have been on and we are not easy to please! The hotel is immaculate, rooms modern and comfortable, and the all inclusive option is superb. My husband, 8 year old son and I spent a fortnight here and the only grumble we had was that there was no bed for my son on arrival at 5am. This was rectified within 10 minutes, so a true sign that it is an efficient hotel! Our room was spacious and modern and served its purpose, as we hardly spent any time in it other than to sleep. Cleaning of the room was highly efficient and we had no complaints whatsoever about the standard of cleanliness.
The meals in the restaurant were fantastic, something for everyone, even chips! The food was freshly prepared and cooked and we were soilt for choice each meal time. The Turkish night (every Thursday) was particularly good and it was great to try local dishes, especially the desserts!!! The snacks during the day were great too. Wine is on tap in the restaurant to go with your meal, or you could get yourself something else from the bar before eating.
The pool area was also immaculate, cleaners worked tirelessly to ensure the tiled area surrounding the pool was safe to walk on and that cups etc were cleared away within minutes of you finishing with them. Sunbeds around the pool get snapped up early, but staff would always find you a sunbed and transport it to a location of your liking if you asked.
The sports facilities were fine for our needs. We made use of the tennis courts and table tennis, as well as the kayaks and pedalos (all free too!).
In many of the reviews I read before travelling, people commented on the staff favouring the continental guests. At no point did we witness this, although we were prepared to speak some French when we couldn't make ourselves understood (which was rare). The staff were extremely polite and helpful to adults and children alike, as I observed many times.
We took the dolmus (local bus) into Bodrum on several evenings, it cost about £4 return for the 3 of us and took about 15 minutes each way. You can get the bus at the top of the lane and they come about every half hour.
I think the whole fact that we were surrounded by many French, Belgian, Scandanavian and Russian guests simply added to the enjoyment of our holiday. Quite frankly, we prefer the continental atmosphere to being in a hotel where everyone else is British!
I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this hotel and can't recommend it enough. For a holiday with a continental flavour, this is it!
