Location
=======
The hotel is a short transfer from the airport (about half an hour) and is situated on the coast with access to a private beach. The hotel is quite isolated, with only other hotels in the surrounding area. We didn't find this to be a problem but if you do need/want to get out Bodrum is about 15 minutes away via dolmus, which departs approximately every 15 mins from just outside the hotel.
Rooms
======
We were pleased to find that the pictures on the hotel website were an accurate representation of the rooms and hotel in general. Rooms are modern and clean with a reasonable amount of space. Air conditioners are fitted and don't have a local charge to use, however we didn't need to use it during out stay so can't comment on it's effectiveness. Mini bar has some free items (a couple of beers, water and juice) which are clearly labelled, with replacements of these items charged for. Guests travelling with First Choice all appear to be allocated ground floor rooms for an unknown reason. The accommodation is all 2 story, and while ground floor rooms aren't a problem, the balcony that comes with a first floor room would have been handy for drying clothes (we made do by attaching our travel washing line to a tree outside the room).
Food
=====
The main restaurant serves food in a buffet style, which I assume is fairly typical of all inclusive hotels. There is a good variety of food, which caters to even the fussiest of eaters (there always seemed to be spaghetti bolognese, plain vegetables, salad etc). Dishes generally reappear every 2 to 3 days, so in a week it was enough for something you liked to come back round, but over a fortnight I think it would have got quite boring. However, I don't think I could ever have got bored of the dessert table! The overall quality of the food was reasonable, as good as you could probably expect for a buffet, but not outstanding. That isn't meant as a criticism, as for the money paid I thought it was very good value. Being a buffet it just wasn't the same standard as restaurants we might have chosen had we not been all inclusive. Along with the main restaurant there was also a snack bar beside the pool which served food and drinks late morning through to about 4pm - this included pizzas and burgers as well as small biscuits and desserts.
Facilities
========
The site is quite impressive and has plenty of activities to entertain - however, I imagine the all inclusive nature of the hotel could become quite claustrophobic after more than a week. As noted by others, daily activities are well promoted, and while you are encouraged to participate, you aren't badgered into doing so. We took part in the organised archery, shooting and volleyball which we found to be well run and a good opportunity to meet other guests. We also took out the kayaks and pedaloes on a number of occasions - this was a walk up service which didn't require pre-booking, in May at least! The beach is also just a few steps from the pool side which is convenient and the hotel provides beach towels on arrival which can be changed morning and/or evening.
Value for money
=============
We were at the hotel for 6 nights, however, it would have been 7 if First Choice hadn't broken a plane and took 26 hours to replace it. That aside, we were very pleased with the hotel and felt it met our requirements of somewhere nice to relax for a week, with enough activities to prevent boredom. The rooms were comparable in style and quality to european city centre hotels we have stayed in in the past, which in our experience is unusual for beach holiday hotels. We would recommend this hotel to others who want to avoid the stereotypical British tourist on a sun holiday as the majority of guests where from Belgium, Germany and France. The downside is that First Choice is the only operator that offers this hotel and their mismanagement of our outbound flight would discourage us from travelling with them again.
