We arrrived 15 Aug 08. Parkim Ayaz has lovely grounds, gardens, hammocks. Beach is lovely, free sun beds, and we always got a bed! Lots of good water sports in which a lot of people participated in. Weather was excellent, perhaps a little too hot, but a siesta in the afternoon was a must!

On the down side, food was okay, but not much choice. Parkim Ayaz catered for not just the english but other people from around the world, so there was a lack of english food. There wasnt much choice for puds either, virtually same every night. Plenty of other restaurants in the area for you to buy food. Breakfast was continental, no english fry ups, although I did see some baked beans on a few occasions! But you could buy english fry ups at loads of places around.

The staff were very good, especially bar staff at "Ladybird" on the beach, which was part of Parkim Ayaz. They were very friendly, and the "Cool Breeze" pub, near reception, they were great staff too.

Rooms are basic, but clean sheets and towels every day. If there was problem in your room, they would be there in minutes to fix it.

Be careful if you have a health problem, if you go to a medical centre, beware, you could have to pay hundreds of pounds, for a simple ailment.

Gumet is expensive when buying from shops/bars. Drinks of a glass of coke or beer is 5 lire, around 2 pounds 50p. Haggling with shop assistant is a must, you kind of get used to it and can be fun!

On the whole a good holiday, but I'm sorry to say I wont be going there again, I did go for 2 weeks though. I think I would have been a lot happier if it was just for 1 week, as thats what I normally do.

Stayed first 2 weeks of August. Reception looks great, staff helpful. Our room was very very small and the bathroom even smaller and it also smelt a bit of stale smoke. Any problems we told them about were rectified quickly. The room was cleaned every day, beds made, clean towels etc. Also had a safety deposit box and hair dryer (which worked better than it looked like it would). Air con was fab too – had to turn it off at times cos it worked a little too well!! 2 great pools. Our fave was the one with Cozzy Beach bar - great bar with fantastic, friendly and helpful staff.

Great location - from front of hotel you could go either left or right and there were plenty of shops, restaurants and "loud" bars e.g. Molly Malone’s, karaoke bars, come here get free shot type bars etc. From the back of the hotel (which is right on the beach) there were lots of bars offering entertainment such as belly dancing, break dancers (these were fab) and snake shows etc with plenty or restaurants too.

Disappointed with room but would stay here again as the location was ideal for everything and the staff were brilliant too.

“Fantastic Hotel”

As many others I was a little worried after reading other reviews, but that all changed once we arrived.
The hotel looks quite small from the outside but is suprisingly large.
Rooms were very clean and comfortable with great views of the beach and gardens which have a family of tortoises.
The Ladybird bar and cozzy beach bar do great snacks at lunch time, as do the aloha bar opposite the hotel . The Ladybird bar will bring you all your drinks and food to the beach , if you can't pull yourself away from your sunlounger. Weather was 37 degrees everyday but when on the beach, there was a constant strong breeze which made it comfortable.
The hammocks and swing chairs are a great way to relax and enjoy a lazy day by the beach front.
We didn't eat at the hotel in the evenings as we enjoy visiting all the nearby resturants , but it was just as cheap to stay at the hotel half board as it was to stay somewhere self catering.
On your last day the maids do a lovely towel and flower display on your bed.
The hotel is in a perfect location if you want to be in the heart of it all, but there is some noise surrounding the hotel which go on until about 2am, but It never bothered us too much or kept us up at night.
Bodrum is nearby about a 10 minute ride on a dolmus , but it very expensive to eat out, for a 2 course meal and 3 drinks costs average of 70 lira in gumbet, but cost us about 130 lira for the same in bodrum as there where lots of added hidden extras.
This was our first visit to turkey and I would definately go back to the Parkim Ayaz as the beachfront location was great.

Booked the parkim Ayaz with a dark cloud over my choice since reviews were not too impressive that i read last year. Well that can change
Parkim Ayaz is in a good location on the beach which has free sunbeds, hammocks, swing chairs,2 large pools one with a slide the other a outdoor jacquzzi,4 bars, free crazy golf, free gym, free sauna, free use of table tennis or other games all this for a 3 star hotel surely not.
The food is good as well both morning & evening meals are changed daily and plenty of choice to cater for all tastes. Hot or cold meals for the evening meal which you are spoilt for choice, weathers its a wide choice on the salad/pasta bar or on the hot main coarse options i am sure you will be well fed i was having four coarse every night.
The bars are good as well the cossy bar is best for entertainment and a relax atmosphere with its big sofas or comfy cushion found around the shaded area near the pool great in the heat of the day for a sleep or generally relaxing.
Bar street is just up the road about 5 min walk up but the hotel is on a main road through Gumbet so has a mixture of bars and shops.
Buses run requlary into Bodrum all for 2 lira and run early in to the morning as well, so all in all a great location for access and entertainment.
If you want a quite room request it when you book it, around the pool they play music espacilly Cossy Bar till around 1am. rooms are small so request afamily room you have more room, we did as i was staying with just a friend so we booked a family room and got a double bed & single bed with balcony and reasonable sized room as well.
I think since its joined with Parkim Palas last year its given the hotel more and i would say please all. As said already if want quite room etc ask for it before you book it otherwise request it when you check in to the hotel, most staff understand english ok as long as polite with it.

Any questions please feel free to contact me.

Thx you Parkim Ayaz for a happy & relaxing stay.

Stayed in parkim ayaz from 22nd june for 1 week, a group of 7 girls aged 18-21.

The hotel was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, although fairly small. we didnt spend much time in them. The only problem was the aircon that didnt work too well, we reported it and its was fixed?? although not much colder!

The dining hall was busy, and well staffed, with a large choice of dishes.

Pool was fab...we loved the bar and cozzy beach! played music all day. Aqua gym is really good fun usually starts at 11am. Turkish Bath in the hotel is excellent we paid 25ytl each, well worth it.

We usually started our nights in cozzy beach for cocktails and entertainment, (the male belly dancer was an eye opener....anyone who has seen him will know what we mean!!) we had an eighteenth birthday whilst we were there and asked them to organise a table for us with banners, for our dinner. They organised it and a fab cake. Our nights usually ended in Shamrocks our fave! we enjoyed all of the bars especially Shakers, Outback, X and Central bar oh and Mr Frogs Karaoke. (never seen as much choice!)

dont tell the watersports firm opposite the dining hall that youre a professional on the Ringy/Donut things... they take you seriously!!

the little shop under the aloha bar opposite reception sells really cheap water, so stock up!

Beware! the airport (incl duty free) is an absolute rip off, and definitely try to get a seat as soon as you can!
