I got back from my holiday here on friday and had the best time. I went with 6 of my friends. All of us 18, one of us having his 18th birthday whilst we where there. It was all of our first holidays away without the parents, most of our first trips to Turkey and one for one of us, their first trip abroad but I can safely say we had the an amazing holiday and left loving Turkey, The Yildiz and all of the staff.
The rooms are basic but very clean and ours had a balcony with a lovely view out to the sea. It was a bit of a squeeze and got very untidy with 3 teenage girls in it and all our clothes but we didnt spend much time in the rooms. The hotel is in a great location being right in the middle with the bars, beach, shops, restraunts very close, but just a bit set back from the main strip of bars ect. The area of Gumbet and surrounding is full of stuff to do, we didnt have time to do all we wanted to, you will never be short of things to do. The pool was lovely and the covered area with a pool table, a dart board, comfy sofas and an X box was great to escape the heat and get beaten badly at pool by the staff. The bar is great, open all night, with a very friendly atmosphere where you get to know everyone. We found ourselves there most nights with Flaggy the best barman in Turkey im sure! The Turkish night was brilliant, a must if you stay .... and you have to join in, such a good laugh.
The best part about the hotel is the staff. A big thank you to Servet, Flaggy, Sunny, Mehmet and all the rest, for making us feel welcome and at home. They make an effort to join in and get to know you and are incredibly friendly and genuinly nice people. Not all staff at hotels would go to the effort of buying a cake to help celebrate a guests birthday. Joe definatly had a birthday to remember. Miss them loads already but hope to see them again.
I cant think of any bad points about this hotel, Yildiz is brilliant and i want to go back now, but i will have to wait till next year. I think a return visit is in store.
Yildiz love from Amy, Abi, Claire, Tilly, Joe, Adam and Matt
