Not sure about this hotel. when we first arrived we got a fantastic welcome, so so friendly. the rooms are very small in the hotel side, i'm not sure about the apartments. they are basic rooms which you can expect in turkey, it was clean, and the rooms were cleaned regularly. the maids were lovely. great pool if you can get a sunbed. people leave their towels on the sunbeds and then disappear shopping or go for a meal and then come back, so we couldn't get a sunbed sometimes which was annoying and we had to go to the beach instead. At the Arya there is a restaurant attached, which they expect you to eat there otherwise they get the face on with you. after a while i got used to this, we stopped eating there on the second day because the food wasnt up to much, and they let us know regularly how disappointed they were in us, which makes you feel bad. most of the staff were great, especially martin on reception nothing was too much trouble if you had a problem. hassan at the pool bar was great too, and cash from the restaurant he had a great sense of humour. i wasn't keen on abdul he was always harrasing you to have a turkish bath, which we had, but once your in there he goes on about having the massage , and the face pack, and then he wants you to buy the soap kit aswell. you have that and then in your 2nd week he's bothering you again for another one. in the end i just ignored him otherwise i would have been rude to him. the hotel is in a great postion for the beach and the bars and restaurants, it's central so you have access to everything. and please do not stay in the hotel all the time, turkey is a beautiful country so explore it, you would be daft not too, the bodrum area is steeped in history and there are some great excursions to go on. lastly i would go to gumbet again but not to this hotel, too much harassment for me.
