Not sure about this hotel. when we first arrived we got a fantastic welcome, so so friendly. the rooms are very small in the hotel side, i'm not sure about the apartments. they are basic rooms which you can expect in turkey, it was clean, and the rooms were cleaned regularly. the maids were lovely. great pool if you can get a sunbed. people leave their towels on the sunbeds and then disappear shopping or go for a meal and then come back, so we couldn't get a sunbed sometimes which was annoying and we had to go to the beach instead. At the Arya there is a restaurant attached, which they expect you to eat there otherwise they get the face on with you. after a while i got used to this, we stopped eating there on the second day because the food wasnt up to much, and they let us know regularly how disappointed they were in us, which makes you feel bad. most of the staff were great, especially martin on reception nothing was too much trouble if you had a problem. hassan at the pool bar was great too, and cash from the restaurant he had a great sense of humour. i wasn't keen on abdul he was always harrasing you to have a turkish bath, which we had, but once your in there he goes on about having the massage , and the face pack, and then he wants you to buy the soap kit aswell. you have that and then in your 2nd week he's bothering you again for another one. in the end i just ignored him otherwise i would have been rude to him. the hotel is in a great postion for the beach and the bars and restaurants, it's central so you have access to everything. and please do not stay in the hotel all the time, turkey is a beautiful country so explore it, you would be daft not too, the bodrum area is steeped in history and there are some great excursions to go on. lastly i would go to gumbet again but not to this hotel, too much harassment for me.

Although we were not booked in to these brilliant, friendly apartments we spent every day there. Our own pool was terrible and the wonderful people of Arya apartments invited us to use their pool and make full use of all the facilities - which we did. The pool is great for children, the pool bar is super - good food and very reasonably priced. I can throughly reccommend this complex to families and couples, infact we rate it so highly we have booked for next year again. The staff were the most helpful, friendly, genuine people i had ever met while on any holiday . The food they serve in the restaurant is absolutely beautiful - give it a try you wont be disappointed

this was the 3rd time ive stayed at the ayra. i love going to the hotel so much i dont even leave, this is all due to the staff. people forget we have different traditions from the turkish. of course they will try to get us in their restraunt or bar but why shouldnt they? they need the business. go anywhere else in the world and all the staff are trying to do it.
the hotel and apartments are clean, the pool is cleaned everyday and its cheap.
Turkish night is great, you get a bbq, tradional turkish dancers and belly dancers plus the entertainment from the bar men.
if u have kids they are safe, there is a kids pool, pool table in the shade along with huge cushions if they want to lie in the shade, also there is martins lovely dog, 2 ducks and loads of toirtoises to look out for, the staff will keep the kids happy and the parents bank balance up with free kids meals.
the turkish baths are a must do, yes you have to pay for it but its definitely worth it. i always get 1 on my first day and a massage every day. it doesnt cost much compared to how much we would pay here.
ill be going back again this year and as much as i can next year. yes i do go out with the bar manager Ali but i wasnt the first time i went across and even if i wasnt with him id still go.
if you want a week or 2 of relaxing, having fun and cheap food and drink Ayra is the place to go.

We went to this hotel last year and liked it so much that we went back again. The welcome we received was wonderful and the staff were genuine.
The pool and bar are very good, because everyone mixes in and socialises, particularly the kids.
The restaurant is very good and the staff are excellent.
Our favourites were: Bayram, Hassan, Stu, Gogol, Kesh and Abdul.
Specail mention must be made of Turgut (Toogood) whose smile is a mile wide.

We booked the Aya apart hotel through Direct Holidays, when told i was not so keen on Turkey as a whole, but after being there i have to change my mind it was by far one of the greatest places i have visited. The weather was excellent, the food was great & the staff at the Arya are wonderful & treated our 10yr old daughter like there own & in particular Bayram & Abdull. Hasan was also a legend & for what these guys get paid its simply not enough. The apartment was very basic but did the job that we all want & that would be a place to eat & sleep. There are many wonderful places in Turkey with some wonderful sights in Gumbet with the market a must for bargains (please note that the heat there is rather unbearable at times) i would go back to Turkey & the Arya tomorrow if i could.
