We left the Hotel La Rosa less than 24 hours ago. I had booked up last minute going allocated on arrival, and was very pleasantly surprised when we first entered this hotel.
The La Rosa itself is a lovely, small hotel. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with plenty of free sun loungers/bean bags for all the guests. There are also several gazebos and other seating areas spread around so if you want to you can get out of the sun. As it is a small hotel, there wasn't too much noise during the day, so it was very relaxing. I had two teenage daughters with me and they thought it was brilliant, and didn't get bored once over the two weeks. Every member of staff was very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
Entertainment is in the form of karaoke every nite until midnight, but the bar stays open as long as you want it to, friday nights they lay on a Turkish night, with a troupe of artistes perfoming and a barbecue, for the cost of £10.
Rooms are a decent size, and very clean, sheets and towels were changed 5 times during our stay, and rooms cleaned every day.
Although not in the centre of Gumbet, it is only a 15 minute stroll down the hill to the centre of the nightlife. Built fairly close to a residential area, which is a bonus, as there are numerous nice Turkish resturaunts close at hand, that tend to be cheaper than those in the main area. Also only a 2 minute walk to the local market held every sunday.
Pay the extra for the air con. It enables you to shut the doors at night and keep out the noise of the bar!!
