“great, but some problems”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

I stayed at this hotel with my mum and sisters as a family holiday, and it was a great place with the a fantastic swimming pool, but sadly, slightly ruined as the waiters were too forward and I felt like a bodyguard for my younger sisters. We had several waiters asking to take them clubbing although they knew one was only 13, so in my opinion, I would not go as an all girls holiday.

Room Tip: The further away from the street, the better.

I have just returned from my second trip to Turkey and both times I have stayed at Hotel Magnific. I found the staff to be extremley helpful and friendly, the food - a wide variety of delicious food, the rooms were clean and comfortable with clean towels and toiletries replenished daily.
The hotel is right on the beach of which there are bars and restuarants if you fancy a change from the hotel. The loacation is great for the nightlife and shopping.
Some of the rooms are quite close to a couple of the bars which play music until about 2am so if you are likely to be going away to sleep all holiday you may wish to request a room not so close by to these bars. however, if like me and my friends you intend to be partying until after 2am, this wont be an issue.

This holiday was like a dream to me and my mom!
Bodrum is very expensive, but gumbet is good if you are looking for a nice bag or something like that.
The hotel and staff were so good!
If you want a relaxed holiday, go to magnific.
Check in and chill out ;)

The Hotel is located in the centre of Gümbet so be prepared for all night music and loud parties. If you're lucky like us you'll get a room facing the sea or the inside garden so you'll have a much quiter night. Some of our group got rooms viewing on the street which is almost unbearable at night. Room change is only available for an extra charge of 7euro/prs/night. If you're preparing to book into this hotel, it's a must to ask for a room looking the garden/sea.
Other than this the quality of the service, rooms, food, poolside is above avarage. The seashore is a bit dirty because of cigarette remains, but the water is crystal clear. I would recommend it to anyone who likes busy nightlife at good price/quality rate. 4 points out of 5 considering the 4 star rating of the hotel.

We have been going to this hotel the last ten years although we missed last year. This is the first time the we were all inclusive. It was always bed and breakfast. The room we had was lovely and clean but it was tiny and the balcony was ridiculous as it was only two slats of wood that you could not stand on. The buffet was nice but could of done with a bit more variety. Myself and the girls are not pool people and love the beach. The beach connected to the hotel was not very clean lots of beer cans and broken glass although the staff tried to clean them there were still bits of glass around. The majority of staff was friendly and I think they should give plastic cups for the beach rather than glasses. The entertainment was very limited and it put us off staying in the hotel at night. We made our own fun. We are not sure if we will return to this particular hotel but we will be going back to Gumbet.

I stayed at the Magnific with my husband from 26th August - 2nd september we went for our Anniversary and requested a pool view which we were given and it was a deluxe (no 175) the room was modern with a balcony it also has a fridge, it was cleaned every day with clean towels left for us, the pool are has plenty of sun loungers but do get taken quite quickly on a morning, one of my main concerns was the pool yes it is stunning but unfortunately it is very deep with no shallow part so be aware it is not for non swimmers so was a disappointment to me as i can't swim and it has a small paddle pool for children, the pool area was cleaned every night, the main restaurant was international food mainly for breakfast lunch & dinner and the snack bar which is open during the day serves chips, burgers, pizza etc the waiters are always busy and hard working we found Mustafa friendly and helpful, the drinks are ok but not alot of choice the bar staff are also very nice and friendly especially Ali and Nuri who spoke English to us and were a pleasure to talk to, for evening meal the tables next to the pool get full quite early but there is other seating areas, there are shows to watch on some nights but they don't last long and then its just music and is quite relaxed, the compare doesn't speak much in English so we didn't know what was going to be on most of the time as we found that the Hotel guests where mainly international there was only one other English couple there the week we were there, Gumbet is very loud at night and the hotel is close to bar street so it is very noisy also a new club called sapphire has opened right out the back of the hotel and is open until 4am so be prepared not to get much sleep if you are in bed before then, the hotel has wifi but only connects in certain areas and sometimes it is hard to connect to the internet, the location of the hotel is perfect and is right next to the beach I have added some photos to show what it looks like, overall we had a good stay it is a very nice hotel with good staff the only bad point is that the pool is too deep for non swimmers.

Traveled here in may 2013, and was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews, we had stopped at the sun peda club few doors down in sept 2012 and it was disgusting.. Rooms here were clean and serviced every day, food was excellent something for everyones needs, bar staff especially Ali Aydin were great nothing to much trouble always ready to fill your glass up. actually we loved it that much there is a whole party of us returning this October. Gumbet aint for the faint hearted it is loud and very noisy as the hotel is right near to Bar street, also if you step out the back you are right on the beach which is wonderful.. Couldn't fault this hotel or the management whom we did see every day doing his rounds making sure everyones needs were fulfilled, the only negative thing is the beautiful pool it is very deep and being a non swimmer it was to deep to stand up in... had a fab time here
