When we arrived at Sami Plaza Hotel, we really where amazed. Everything was really clean. The rooms where big. And the swimming pool looked awesome. The meals where delicious. The only minor was that we neaded to pay or dranks with dinner. Normally in a hotel this should be included when you book half pension.
The location of the hotel is very good, especially for young people. It is situated in the middle of the so called "bar street".
Its a very good hotel, for a reasonable price.

We have been to Gumbet twice and ended up at Sami Plaza twice.First time we stayed at The Parkim Palas which was very good.But we always ended up at Sami Plaza because the staff were always friendly and always very helpful. We ended up making very good friends with the staff we now think of them as part of the family.When we went in 05 we wasnt booked in at Samis our tour operators booked us in at some grotty hotel just around the corner from Samis.We happened to mention our situation to Salih and Kylah who were working at Samis who we had made friends with on a previous visit to Gumbet.They managed to get us moved to Samis.The room was clean, tidy and comfortable the food is good though not to varied but just the staff made our stay laughing and joking from early morning at breakfast right till they were due to retire for the night.Big thank you to Borhann hope i spelt his name right he helped us with our tour operator problems.We used to do the Turkish lottery but as usual we never won.Also to Aytac who we managed to catch up with when he came to England in 06 so all being well we will be back to see our adopted family this year.Will miss Salih and Kylah as we know they have moved on but from the front of desk to back of house we love them all.

I have just back from a brill week at the sami plaza hotel!!

Well where can i start, when we checked in the hotel the staff was very fast and happy to help with all your suitcases up to your room. The second day we were there we got a telephone call to ask us if the room and vire were ok and to tell us what we could do in and around the hotel. The hotel its self is about 4 mins to the beach and about 2 mins from the nightlife (dont worry you can not hear any night life from all the bars!! SOME OF THE ROOMS DO LOOK OVER THE BUSY ROAD SO YOU MUST REQUEST A POOL VIEW, AS WE DID.
Day time at the hotel was fab, there was a children club and the always was taking all the children away (going to the beach, donkey riding and meeting with other hotel children clubs!!) which was very good because the pool was empty durin the day!!
Even though i dont have children i would rec this hotel for all travellers (even familys with smaller children)

ALL IN ALL THIS IS A VERY GOOD 3 STAR HOTEL AND I WILL BE RETURNING AT SOME POINT!!!

This is our 6th time in Gumbet and we love it!

We stayed at Sami Plaza Oct 05 and in Oct 06 and hygiene and health and safety standards have slipped.

the rooms are big and spacious and are well decorated.........but the bathrooms. the bathrooms were dirty (walls covered in mould), the toilet roll holder fell off the wall, the toilet door wasn't attached to its hinges. we asked the hotel to put it right but it took 3 days before we had to consult the rep and got a room change.

the second room was much nicer but still had problems getting the sheets and towels changed.

the staff are lovely and will do anything to help (except maintainence)

with reguards to eating out at night avoid miradon. All you get is hassle and a bad meal.

The best restaurants by far are Pano Vino, Divers and Red Dragon!!!
