This is our 6th time in Gumbet and we love it!

We stayed at Sami Plaza Oct 05 and in Oct 06 and hygiene and health and safety standards have slipped.

the rooms are big and spacious and are well decorated.........but the bathrooms. the bathrooms were dirty (walls covered in mould), the toilet roll holder fell off the wall, the toilet door wasn't attached to its hinges. we asked the hotel to put it right but it took 3 days before we had to consult the rep and got a room change.

the second room was much nicer but still had problems getting the sheets and towels changed.

the staff are lovely and will do anything to help (except maintainence)

with reguards to eating out at night avoid miradon. All you get is hassle and a bad meal.

The best restaurants by far are Pano Vino, Divers and Red Dragon!!!

Lovely hotel, ideally located just a minute from the centre of Gumbet and the beach. Lovely buffet breakfast each morning, spaceous room and balcony. Great pool area too.
To be honest, we never spent much time in the hotel, as we are always 'up and out' people, but this hotel really was very nice, clean, etc.....would defo go again.

We went on a two week holiday to gumbet our 11 friends were booked into sami plaza. We 3 were booked into sunway (horrible)so every morning we got up we took taxi to our friends hotel. The staff there made us very welcome as i wanted to go home. But we only slept in sunway an stayed at sami plaza all day. The staff our fab to say the least especially LEON he was brill. We didnt want to leave every night to go back to our prison cell of a hotel the sunway but we had to. But thanks to the sami group who have two other hotels in gumbet they made our holiday SPECIAL. If you go give leon a kiss from the 14 Belfast friends he made.

I have just arrived home from my 2 week stint at Otel Sami Plaza and I had to write a review to assure all you people who have yet to go.......you are in for an absolute treat!!! I stayed in Gumbet last year but this hotel was by far a lot better...clean,comfortable,in the centre of town,on the beach.Only down side is some apts are facing the bars so if you like your sleepy time then you may have to change rooms but they will do this if any other rooms are available.If you like to sit by the pool then you will be entertained by Kamal the barman,he is an absolute gem,very good english,funny,energetic and very good at his job.All in all you will have a great time in Gumbet,if eating out go to Aloha restaurant(superb food and really cheap) and Tempo which is right across the road from Sami and ask for Ocktay,he is fab.For boat trips if your under 30 and want a good laugh go to Tyson at Park Palace Hotel and if you just want to lie back and chill go to Hasan at Sami Beach(Tysons trips take more people so less room on boat but more fun).Hope this review is of help but if you need to know anything just ask,I think I know just about all there is to know about Gumbet!
