Just back from a week at the sami plaza hotel and had an absolute ball - the hotel is great compared to the standards of some of the other hotels and the staff are so so so friendly, we are getting married there next year and they are taking care of everthing for us. Can not wait to get it booked for next year. The only negative thing i could say was that the toilets could be a bit cleaner

we have just returned from a 2wks stay at samis this is our 4th stay in gumbet @ samis was one of the best hotels fab location right in center of all bars restaurants @ only 5mins stroll to the beach the reception staff are great very helpful but standards at samis have slipped the pool area wasnt cleaned loungers was not cleaned grids round pool were broken bins not emptied as much as they should be.rooms very spacious @clean but then again corridors not cleaned. this is a pity as sami plaza was once spotless @has slipped in my estimation @would have to think twice about returning

Have recently returned from one week stay at the Sami Plaza and would recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in Gumbet who want to be close to the beach, bars and restaurants. The hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and at £114 pp for BB in the most expensive week of the year, I cannot fault this hotel. The room was spacious and very clean (we had 3 beds) for 2 guests and a balcony overlooking the pool! The bathroom was in need of a bit of cosmetic attention and the shower head did become detached from the wall but we managed to overcome this minor problem. The pool was very inviting during the 40 degree plus heat!! The bar staff (particularly Leon) were extremely friendly and made you feel like very welcome guests. We only had breakfast and sometimes lunch at the hotel which whilst basic was acceptable. With so many restaurants to choose from within close proximity you were spoilt for choice. As two women in our early 40's the nightlife in Gumbet was too young, however, we found nearby Bodrum (only 5 mins by taxi ) to be more to our taste and would recommend evenings there either shopping, eating or drinking. If I returned to Turkey I would stay in Bodrum but only for the reason stated...however, I would not hestitate in recommending the Sami Plaza

When we arrived at Sami Plaza Hotel, we really where amazed. Everything was really clean. The rooms where big. And the swimming pool looked awesome. The meals where delicious. The only minor was that we neaded to pay or dranks with dinner. Normally in a hotel this should be included when you book half pension.
The location of the hotel is very good, especially for young people. It is situated in the middle of the so called "bar street".
Its a very good hotel, for a reasonable price.
