I must start in saying i do very much agree with some of the opinions of the previous writer who described it as the hotel from hell. I am just back from a two week stay at the Ayhan hotel and was quite disappointed by it.
We also found that the staff were very unfriendly. They spoke very little English though myself and my partner heard the staff speak good english at times so we think they chooes when and when not to understand us.
Our first problem arised the very first day. As Turkey is very warm it is essential to have the air conditioning. I went up to reception to enquire about the price and was given a ridiculous price. I told my partener that i was not going to pay that and later that night he went up again to find out the price as he said i mite have mis heard them. When he went up he asked the same member of staff the same question and they could not remember the price that they had given me! It just showed that he made the price up there and then. He then started acting confused and took out a calculator and pages and then gave my partner a different but also a ridicoulsy dear price. The next day we had a meeting with our rep and explained our problem to him. He came to the hotel with us to sort out the price and the staff accused us of lying saying that they did not give us that price. They then lowered the price.
To top this all off the air conditioning kept breaking and did not keep the room that cold. Also when u leave the room you can not leave the air conditioning on. This all happened on the first day, so put a dampener on the holiday.
I also must agree with the previous writer on their comments about the pool. Was disappointing.
Besides that we enjoyed our holiday. The Turks are very friendly and funny and there is lots to do in the resort.
We are already looking to book a 2 week stay next year but would not return to the Ayhan hotel.
