“Impressive views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here in low season hotel facilities are excellent and the reception area was stunning. Quite a trek to Gumbet centre but this means hotel is quieter. Pool bars offer good service and staff very friendly. Food plentiful but not very imaginative. Would recommend for views from rooftop resteraunt. Very impressive. Especially at sunset

Stayed here in May 12,Absolutely loved the royal asarlik, hotel was great, the rooms were really nice and clean.
The staff couldn't of been any nicer, really friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned every day,2 bottles of water delivered daily,
Found the food hot ( never had a cold meal) plenty of crockery,&drinks served to the table

The view was stunning and there was so much to do in and around the hotel, the evening entertainment was great,if you like to get you involved,. There were lots of sun beds& clean towels
The food was nice, and the a la carte restraints were great.
Overall I can't speak highly enough of this hotel, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely return.
I have booked again for May 13, taking 8 friends with us,can not Waite

I could write pages of info about how bad this place is but would be here all day so here are the main reasons not to stay in this hotel!!!
Had to change rooms 3 times in the first week of our holiday as a problem with each room and last room we were put in had a lot of water damage previously looking at the decor and came back one night to water running through electrics and puddles on the floor!!
The relax pool bar staff were rude never tea, coffee or drinking water, when i asked for these he just said we had ran out and made no effort to get any so I had to go and get my own tea bags from top floor restaurant! After a few times of asking for more water for the water machine I finally saw him change the water but not with a fresh bottle but by filling it with water from a hose- this disgusted me so we brought our own water from the shops for the duration of the holiday not what u expect to do when staying in an all inclusive hotel!!
Don't even bother with a la carte restaurants- took a few days to even get booked into these and when finally did felt like we waited days for the food and when it finally came it was cold!!
Reception manager very rude and arrogant!!
Stayed here with my son and don't think it was a safe environment for him!!
Only good thing was the weather!!!

The hotel was great for the price, very hard to fault. One down side was the nearby beaches. If you want sand then dont stay here, only small rock beaches around and we even got a taxi to a recommended beach that was still rocky! Also, the male staff I found were quite rude to my girlfriend and we believe they even stole some of her clothes from our room as there was no other explanation. The hotel manager also made us pay a fine for not leaving our room by 11am. This would be fine except no one told us about this when we arrived. Again, really nice clean hotel with good food, just poor behavior by members of staff and manager.

We travelled as a group of 5 to this hotel in September after a long transfer as we were last drop off and arriving at hotel early hours of the morning we just wanted to get to our rooms and sleep! When we were shown to our room we were not impressed it was tiny was not enough room to put our luggage and our child's buggy down on the floor and the noise from outside was unbearable we went back to reception who told us we would be moved at 9am the next morning so we went back next morning and they said they were fully booked and could not move us will do it the next morning the next morning was the same thing and the hotel reception was a very rude man!! We then went to our rep who was lovely and said she would sort it we were then promised another room the next morning!! Again this was not the case and were shown to a room that was different to what we were told in the end we were fed up of constantly getting lied to by the reception staff that we swapped rooms with our parents as they had a bigger room than us and there was only 2 of us!! A few days later we went out one night and came back to our room which was flooded and water coming through the electric we were told they couldn't move us till next morning and so had to sleep in an unsafe room with our 3 year old son!! I could go on and on about the faults in this hotel!! We spoke to a lot of people we met there that had been here in many occasions and said how they can't believe how down hill this hotel has gone and will not be returning!!
The food was ok but always cold the a la carte was awful we walked out of the Turkish one as waited over an hour for our food and then was served cold!!
We will never ever return to this hotel all the staff were rude except for the spa manager and entertainment team that kept us going throughout our stay!! This holiday was expensive and a total waste of money!!!

I have visited this hotel a with my family and the positive side are as follows...
Friendly staff
Nice rooms
Nice pools (although are a bit cold)
Good variety (hot and cold foods) The best bit is the Ommelate and Pancake man.
And I would definitely come here again.

Reception check in was speedy and friendly. We spent 2 weeks at this hotel, the first week was a disappointment as we were put in a Superior room in the garden. We had in fact paid for a room with a sea view in the main hotel. The location of the Superior rooms is not great especially for people with walking difficulties, there are 14 steep steps to negotiate to get back up into the main building of the hotel and from the room 38 steep stone steps down to the pool and Green bar. We were moved after a week into the main hotel in a room with a sea view, it was a very small room but it was sufficient. There was nowhere to dry our ‘smalls’ we asked every day for a clothes maiden but there were never any available.

The hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas, the bedding and towels changed regularly.

We found the food to be very good, we didn’t try the a la carte as we were more than happy with what was on offer. We had no trouble with the lack of cutlery. At dinner I would have preferred proper napkins instead of paper serviettes and also there didn’t seem to be any dress code and some diners looked scruffy in their shorts and t-shirts, not what one would expect at evening meal in a 5 star hotel. The views from the dining area on the roof are fabulous.

The drinks were plentiful and good service. Favourite daytime bar was the Havana Beach Bar.
There was no entertainment in the main hotel in the evening. It was held at the Ampetheatre we ventured down there one evening and it was overrun with children racing around, it was awful , also a problem again with steep steps.

The lifts in the hotel are really slow.

The free Wifi in reception was good.

In reception there is a beautiful blue fibre optic chandelier that hangs down from the 6th floor. Check out the glass floor on the 6th floor too.

The beaches and the pools are very good, plenty of sunbeds. You pick towels up from the Activity Pool, would be better if you could pick towels up at the Relax Pool too.

I certainly wouldn’t rate this hotel as 5 star more 3 or 4 star. But I will say that the staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Good food, clean place, good location.

Would we return to this hotel? Possibly.
