Upon arrival the Sah Hotel seems very peaceful and picturesque within the confines of it's walls.
It is a small hotel with only 12 rooms and centres around a reasonable sized pool which is well maintained.
My wife & I were looking for a quiet, peaceful reatreat as we are expecting our first baby, I would like to point out at this point we are by no means boring & lifeless but the week of our holiday was far from from peaceful and realxing ( which is what we were advised by Sovereign we would be getting)
As you can read from other reviews the hotel is very close to many restaurants and bars on the beach front of which you can hear music well into the early hours. Our irritaion was compounded by the fact our room (No:4) was directly above an internet cafe which happens to be open 24 hours a day. The continual thud of bass lines continued to reverberate up in to the room at all hours. Despite alerting the porter, hotel management and the sovereign Rep this peristsed all week.
The rooms are very sparce in decor and what I would consider basic, they are well kept and clean. The bed matress was extremely hard so if you have a back probelm this is great news, however my wife is 5 months pregnant and this caused us sleeping difficulties.
Upon the sea front you are continually hounded by the numerous bars & restaurants to use thier facilities which grates after a while. It was not particauarly exspensive but most of the restuarants sell the same boring old things, Burgers, pizzas, etc.....
To sum up our experince is one of disapointment. We paid £1600 for a weeks holiday through an exclusive travel agent for what we thought would be peaceful & relaxing, we just wished we had spent it going else where. Bitez is not quiet and secluded, it is literally on the door step of Bodrum ( where night clubs & bars are every other outlet). If you are looking for a relaaxing quiet holiday I would not recommend Hotel Sah OR Bitez!
