We have just came back from Bitez Antik Hotel in Turkey. The hotel was lovely however there was something eles that let us down! The food at Bitez Antik Hotel was awfull, we went as a party of 4 and all of us got food poisoning by the second day and you do not want this when you have paid for an all inclusive holiday. The food area was based outside in a small shelterd area opend to all insects i.e. flys. We will not be going back witch is a shame because the area and staff were very nice.

Bitez in Turkey is a beautiful place and we shall certainly be returning but not to the Antik Hotel.
The Antik was advertised as having 3 swimming pools, tv room, 3 restaurants, and many more luxuries none of which were true. The music which was played constantly was very loud and only for the younger generation. Many times we had to ask to have it turned down so that we could hear each other speak!! but to no avail. All the British staying there , that we spoke to, along with myself and friend suffered from upset stomaches with severe pain. The staff looked so suprised when told and were not at all helpful. We booked to go on trips with our rep. Enis, paid more than the usual price for the trips, much cheaper along the waterfront, and lost it all as we were too unwell to go and Enis was very unhelpful. and would not return our money and the Antik would not take responsibility for it either. The food was left our in the heat for hours at a time. The hot counter was in the sunshine and provided the same dish, luke warm,and the salad bar was not refridgerated. We had to spend our money on eating outside. Believe me the Antik Hotel is NOT a place to stay.
The only thing the hotel got right was our departure time! What a relief to leave!

This hotel is clean but our room was a bit dated, however the bedding and towels where fresh and white, the room was serviced each day. There two pools and a pool bar, the music tends to be a bit loud in the main pool area or we used the pool at villa's part of the hotel. this also has a pool bar.
We stayed on a AI basics which was good value for money, there was three meals a day and an afternoon tea served. The problem was that the food was put out for about 2 hours on each occassion, they did'nt have the salads etc on fridge units to keep ithe food at the correct temp, there would be about 6 hot dishes lots of salads fresh bread each meal. However, there was only 12 british people in this hotel and all of us had an upset stomach's at some stage of our holidays.

this was our second trip in Turkey. The first took us to four different cities, all of which had great food and adequate or great accomodations. Bitez Antik does not measure up, and I strongly recommend finding a different place. the food was terrible. the rooms (we had two for our large group) were dark, small, and in bad shape, one of the couches was falling apart and a bathroom door would not close among other problems. A/C worked. Access to the beach was 6 or 7 city blocks, but we did not think this was a problem. The pools were very nice and were probably the only bright spot. the staff was nice in the beginning, but upon learning of our desire to leave, they started telling us all sorts of untrue stories to get us to stay or keep our money. this was a bit bizarre. the food is what drove us off. I just couldn't accept coming to Turkey and having bad food. We left and went to the 3M hotel. Excellent hotel. they told us that we can stay as long as we want with no cancellation fee. we pay when we leave. Bitez Antik requires you to pay in advance and though they do not state a cancellation policy, they do not refund.
