“Great value for money but not entirely peaceful.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Well maintained hotel - basic rooms but kept very clean by friendly family of staff. Ask if you want plain cotton upper sheets or extra pillows.

Pretty setting around the pool where the plentiful and fresh Turkish breakfast is served. (Tip - take your own coffee if you don't want instant - hot water is provided along with strong tea.) Bar meals available through the day - just ask the conscientious manager, Bilal, if you want something else - recommend the Chicken Sandwich without the bread! Although there's a rule not to bring in your own food they don't have 'nibbles', crisps or biscuits etc so buying your own isn't a problem. Also water from the supermarket is so much cheaper....

Because of the courtyard design noise carries around the hotel; guests arriving during the night sometimes forget that other people are sleeping. The volume of music around the pool during the day seems to increase in relation to the barman's level of hangover - don't expect much peace and quiet in the afternoons.

Plenty of loungers, cushions and umbrellas for everyone. Only steps from the beach and all the restaurants.

Most of the restaurant have basically the same menu - the amphora kebab is a bit of a showpiece dish, the sea bream is to die for and the Paragon has some interesting characters. The ice cream stall past the Okaliptus hotel is superb - try the black Mulberry or Raspberry. They also have an ice cream parlour up in Bitez village - worth a trip up to the weekly market on the dolmus.

Recommend the boat trips with the Bitez Boat Company - you can walk down to the harbour. If it had been a little cooler it would have been easy to take the dolmus to explore Bodrum - maybe next time!

Room Tip: Block facing away from the office has cooler rooms as no direct sun.

If people are expecting an a la carte breakfast or big modern rooms.. spend more money...
For the price you pay for this it is super worth it!

Billy the manager didnt do much. Moody most of the time. But Aaron (Erhun) Barman was amazing! Made us feel welcome and part of his family! He is the reason the hotel is running! I cannot stress how amazing this man is!

The pool area is cleaned every morning and a good size! The bar is beautifully laid out! Music is playing all day and a great vibe!
The people staying here chat and drink at the bar! Very friendly guests!
2 minute walk from the beach and beachfront restaurants!
The restaurants are around 30-50TL each but backstreet restaurants are alot
cheaper .... Lavas and Black Cat very nice food!

One thing is I expected the drinks (alcohol) to be cheaper! But Turkey is a rich country and alcohol is around 8TL beer and 12TL cocktails!... still cheaper than London lol

Just come back after spending ten days at this lovely little hotel. It had s lovely small pool .and a lovely bar area. Our room was cleaned and fresh towels put in every day. All the staff were very pleasent and nothing was to much trouble for them.

Spent a relaxing 2 weeks in the small, friendly and welcoming Orion Hotel in Bitez. The room was clean and well maintained as was the hotel. The hotel pool and bar was clean, small and reasonably priced. The location was perfect, In a quiet area with a short walk to the beach front and around the corner from the bus stop and taxi rank for travelling into Gumbet and Bodrum. Breakfast was a good Turkish buffet mix.

The hotel staff, including the cleaning team and Billy were very friendly and chatty. Nothing was too much trouble for them. However, as previously stated, "Aaron" (Erhun) was the main man that ran the show. He was a great bar man, chef, entertainer, brilliant laugh and all round good guy.

All in all its a barry wee hotel and would stay again if back in Bitez!

Small (27 rooms across three buildings facing inwards to a porched area where breakfast was served) family run hotel. Clean and well serviced, if a little basic - well you get what you pay for, and it was very reasonably priced. The breakfast was plentiful on a buffet basis, all local food, so yogurt, cold hard boiled eggs, mixed meats and feta cheese, salad, olives, fresh fruit lovely fresh bread, nothing hot though! There was an a la carte and a snacks menu for during the day, but most people did eat their other meals in Bitez. Lovely independently run bar by a small. clean well maintained pool.
The major plus for us is that this hotel attracted mostly slightly older couples, so great back ground music, not deafening sounds or beats. relaxing, friendly and excellent value for money. Just the job!

Room Tip: Upstairs if you can (although you'd have to carry your own luggage, this low-rise hotel doesn...

I'm not really one for reviews but after being at the Orion n Bitez thought it was the right thing to do!

We had the night flight, arriving 4AM in the morning and greeted at reception and bags taken to the room.

Hit the hay, get up early in the morning for the breakfast, which unfortunately I couldn't really call a breakfast, it was really the bare minimal, no juice or water and just the basics. However was enough to get a little food in the tummy to start the day.

In the morning we really got a handle on the place, nice small (only 24 rooms) hotel, lovely pool area and great bar. Food was fine for a snack at lunch and the drinks were all reasonably priced.

Aaron / Erhun the bar man was the person who really made the holiday, he provided the simple complex with a huge personality which was great. Makes a mega cocktail and is hands on all around the hotel (Cheffing, tidying the pool area, drinks, helping out however he can). Without Aaron the stay could have become a little boring because it was very quiet and I can get restless very quickly!

The location was ideal, close enough to the beach that it's a few minutes walk but far enough back that you've got no cars, noise, people around.

Building was clean, well made and very enjoyable to stay. However have to say the rooms are small and the beds not my thing (bit stiff and just a cover, no duvet)

Shower in the bathroom was great, actually all facilities there were ideal.

Overall we had a fantastic stay, Bitez a lovely destination, small strip down the beach with loads of restaurants and seaside service along with plenty of activities in the sea. The hotel was perfect for us, cost effective holiday and had great fun.

Would definitely go back again if I happened to go to Bitez.
