“A lovely hotel - we will return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2010

Our stay was lovely. The hotel was extremely clean. The staff were superb - especially with younger children. They were friendly, but not over-friendly(!) and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They carry your bags to your room, and even carried them back to reception when we left. And they didn’t “Expect” a tip – although it’s always nice to give them a small tip.

The rooms aren't huge. At first, they appear a little on the dated side - but on closer inspection it's more a typical 'Turkish' décor; which was quite nice. Bathrooms again - spotless, although very small. Aircon in rooms was lovely - and a must during the hotter months!

The pool was quiet - plenty of free sun loungers, no need to bagsy them with a towel in the morning! The private beach is also very pleasant.

We had no problems with the food. The salads (etc) are very similar each night (but we’ve found this to be the case with most places where evening meals are included). There was a different main course every night, and usually a choice of two. Some examples, Mexican style chicken, mixed grill cooked on the BBQ, spicy Chicken, Stews.

During June/July 2010, the prices (in Turkish Lira) at the 3S Beach Club were as follows. This seemed slightly higher than some of the other bars and restaurants (which is understandable) – but the difference was not too much.

Large Beer, 7tl
All soft drinks, 4tl
House wine (red, white, rosé), 25tl
Average cost of lunch for 2 with 1 drink, 23tl

It’s worth noting that (as with most hotels, and quite fair really) you’re not allowed to bring any food and drink in. If they find it in your room they will confiscate it and charge you.

The hotel is located on the far left hand side of the beach (looking from the sea). It's right on the beach and under 2 minutes walk to the nearest restaurants and shops. Walk along the path for 3 minutes and you'll be in the centre of the Resort... so location is spot on.

The payment system works similar to a credit card. You’re issued with a card on check-in with 200TL credit. You’ll need the card when you want to buy anything, eg at the bar or restaurant. You can settle up at the end, or as you go – whichever you prefer.

Overall, this is a very quiet hotel, in my opinion suited to couples. There weren’t many younger children there. There’s no kids club and not much for kids to do. If you want a peaceful, quiet stay, with an enjoyable atmosphere, and lovely location - I’d strongly recommend this hotel.

A little on the Resort…

Bitez is not a party area. It’s mostly smaller market-styled shops and restaurants. The main part of the area is based around the beach – most beaches are private to the restaurants. For example, if you have a lunch or breakfast at a restaurant, they’ll give you access to their beach all day… so no need to pay for sun loungers etc. Not necessary as the 3S Beach Club has its own private beach too.

Expect the usual hassle from Restaurant staff trying to get you in… although they weren’t rude and weren’t as pushy as some places we’ve been (in particular, Olu Deniz in Turkey and Bulgaria!). Usually a polite “No thanks” or “Maybe tomorrow” got them off your back for the day!!

Bodrum airport is approx 50 minutes transfer from Bitez. The town of Bodrum is approx 15 minutes from Bitez by Dolmus (mini bus) and will cost 3TL per person. Don’t worry about not finding your way back to Bitez as the Dolmus busses are clearly signed, and they all gather together at the bus depot in Bodrum, so you’ll get back no problems!

The Aqua Park is well worth a visit. There are plenty of people selling trips. We used a company called Otan Tours (located near the end of the beach).. they were very good and seemed to give the best deal. Aqua Park is approx 15 mins drive.

Other excursions include Turkish Baths, Ephesus and Pamukkale, Boat Trips, Jeep Safari, Bodrum’s famous open-air night club (Halikarnes), and many more.

To summarise, our stay was great. We would definitely recommend the hotel and we would return to Bodrum and Bitez.

I have been to many countries and stayed in many 4* and 5* hotels, but without a doubt, this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.
First of all, our room was lovely, we didn't have much of a view but we knew this when we booked and weren't expecting one. The bath was big, there was plenty of wardrobe space and, most importantly, everything was kept immaculately clean.
The staff seem to be genuinely friendly and can't do enough for you. They were very helpful whenever we needed anything and there's even table service when you're by the pool or on the beach, at no extra charge. DJ Hassan is open to music requests and even threw a half-price cocktail party for our anniversary.
Alcoholic drinks weren't cheap but this was the same throughout the whole resort. The food was very good, not at all greasy, if I had to pick fault I would say they wasn't a great deal of choice with the buffet, there were 4 mains to choose from every night but 95% of the time it was some form of chicken, however it was very tasty and always cooked well. Starters were Turkish Meze and soup and there were a fair few desserts to choose from. The restaurant was on the top level and had a beautiful view.
The location was perfect in my opinion, we were on one end of the resort but it only took 15minutes to walk to the other end when we felt the need to venture out, however I was happy to eat and drink at the hotel every night anyway. It was a lovely and relaxing atmosphere, but they were also happy to turn the music up when everyone was in a party mood. There wasn't a great deal of shops in the resort area but a taxi to Bodrum was cheap enough if you feel like shopping. There were offices to book trips and watersports within a 5minute walk, I went parasailing in the cove and I would reccommend Alina Travel for your excursions, the reps rip you off.
All in all, I'd say this was worth every penny and more. I will DEFINITELY be returning to this hotel as soon as possible.

this hotel has a few problems especially if you have difficulty in walking the lift only covers half of the floors so either way you still have steps and steps to go to the beach. the hotel is very clean, if you are a early riser you cannot get a hot drink anywhere untill eight when the restarant opens, the drinks are expensive around £3.50 for a large beer, £8.00 for a neat measured bacardi.bottle of wine with your evening meal £25.00. the food on half board is ok but repetative small variety options but was not to our liking. its location is fab right on the outskirt of bitez within a minute walk to other bars restrants, bitez itself is a haven, recommended, but there are other hotels to consider and cheaper for snacks and drinks. i also must add that you cannot bring in any drink-water, they will charge you for it.

This hotel is of a good standard and everything is kept clean and well presented.
The bedrooms are furnished to a good standard and the other facilities are also good. It has a small swimming pool, but I am not of the opinon that it is child friendly 1.6mtr depth all over. They do have what they call a childrens pool but it is more like a splash pool more than three todlers each with a parent and it would be full. It has it own private beach which is well manageged and cared for.
We stayed half board and the breakfast and dinner times are both 8 till 10. Breakfast was fine, the food at dinner was a good quality but we did find if you didnt go early there might be little choice left, this has been mention by others.
What we did find dissapointing was the fact that they did not want you to take food or drink into the hotel at all. Whilst this is understandable in the common areas I see no need for the restrictions in your bedroom.
All in all I would recommend this hotel but cannot give it top marks.

This hotel was in a fab location, mins walk to the start of the restaurants. We did find the pool bar expensive so only used it through the day to buy water and the odd beer. Staff were friendly enough without being in your face.

Lovely pool area - nice chilled atmosphere and very clean. Waiters would serve you from your sun bed which was great. Snacks were ok, not the best and not the worst ave tasted.

The food we thought was excellant, not a great choice but what was on offer was lovely and plenty salads and daily soup always very tasty so never couldnt eat what was on offer. Breakfast always had boiled eggs then maybe scrambled etc, again with salads and lovely breads. lovely terrace overlooking Bitez where you took your meals - gorgeous!

Our room was great, was bit small but nothing you couldnt manage with and very clean. We were lucky to have one of the ground floor rooms which had its own terrace (not many rooms had this) otherwise rest of rooms either had standing room only balconys or none so I would recommend trying to book room with terrace.

Bitez was a lovely relaxing chilled resort and very friendly, maybe a bit too much 'trying 2 get ur custom' at times... Temple bar was good at nite for drinks and entertainment.

Ben n Izzy if you are reading this, sorry didnt get 2 say goodbye - tried 2 find you on FB Ben but couldnt, maybe not spelling your surname correctly...LOL! Enjoyed meeting use

There weren't many reviews for this hotel when I was booking it, so I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived.
We arrived at about 5.30am after a long flight, to be greeted by an extremely friendly guy at reception who then called someone to take our bags down to our room! - Great start.

The next day, we went down to the pool and were pleasantly surprised with the pool, views and bar! We went in a quiet period, so there were a lot of sunbeds free, but even in high season I would imagine that you would be able to get a sun bed easily. You walk outside the hotel, and you are on the hotel's very own strip of beach! The sea was lovely and clear, and surprisingly warm, so great for a swim!

The food was again a lot better then I expected, and there was something different on offer every night with salads and also a couple of choices on the hot foods. The terrace in which you eat on has a fantastic view over the whole of Bitez, which is just gorgeous!

The rooms were very clean, a bit small, but I'm not sure why people winge about the rooms, when surely the main point of a holiday is not to spend the day in your room! Our bathroom was really lovely, and again so clean. The safe box in the room was really handy too so we didn't have to worry about leaving valuables in the room. (2 euros per day)

Lastly, I'd like to mention the staff. They were so lovely and helpful, and really made us feel welcome. They would come over to our sunbeds so we could order drinks and bring them over to us! Farid was a particularly lovely guy, who taught us words to say in Turkish - fab! I really couldn't fault the staff at all, and they really made the holiday for us.

This place is perfect for a couple who want to get away for a relaxing break with the opportunity to go and enjoy the bars and things close by. For the price, we were extremely happy with our holiday!
I'd really recommend the boat trip with Alina, and would highly recommend the smaller boat for 12 people.

All in all, LOVED it!

Just got back from a week's stay with my mum. Bitez is lovely very quiet and relaxing but this hotel I would not recommend. The rooms were small with no balcony or any space to sit outside, the towels and bed linen were so old they made it horrible to dry/sleep in. However the rooms and hotel were very clean. We went half board and the food was very good for a buffett, with fresh fish and turkish food cooked every day. The hotel staff were not particually friendly though, no one really speaks to you and they speak little English, and seemed not bothered at all to make you feel welcome, there was no entertainment at all so evenings were very boring. I would recommend bitez just stay somewhere else!! Also the swimming pool is no good for Kids as has no shallow end at all.
