“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012

Went to Bitez with my partner in August 2011. Had a fab week. Stayed on a half board basis. The restaurant was lovely and had a gorgeous view of the sea. The salads, bread and fruit were lovely however the rest of the meal was ok but quite repetitive. The waiting staff were very friendly. When I stayed we were given a card, almost like a credit card and any drinks and snacks which we wanted were charged to the card, this was good in a way as we never had to carry loads of mone around however meant that we was really watching what we spent. The rip off of this hotel was that they'd charge guests for bringing in food and drink from outside which meant that we were restricted to paying the hotel prices for drinks and snacks.
The hotel was right on the beach which was lovely, loads of restaurants, the owners of these can be rather persistent when trying to get people to come in and spend money, it didnt bother me much but some may find it annoying. One thing I didnt like bout the beach area was the amount of stary dogs there were, they were everywhere not so much in the daytime I gather that was due to the heat but at night be prepared to be followed by dogs.
The rooms were also pretty lovely, only downfall for me was that on arrival we looked outside our room expecting to have a decent view however instead we had a large brick wall looking over at us. My partner used the gym a few times and he said that it was adequate.
A rep came and booked us on a number of trips, went on an all inclusive boat ride, horse riding, a dy trip to Kos and also a turkish bath, the trukish bath is must have.
One staff member I remember was Alex, he was lovely always making sure we were ok, we bumped in to him one night out in Gumbet and he took us to a decent club. I would recommend this, but be careful with room choice as you dont want to be staring at a brick wall and also watch what you spend on the card.

Just came back from Bitez end of sept 11. Hotel is clean, quiet, and very pleasant. Food was not good though, very basic with lots chicken and the continental breakfasts were the same every day. There are lots of restaurants in Bitez selling beautiful food very cheaply so after a while u end up eating out. The beach at the hotel is next to a river which has washed away the sea bed and therefore is very deep within six foot of the shore line, NOT suitable for small children but the sun beds are free outside the restaurants approx 100metres away and the beach there is shallow and excellent for children. The swimming pool is deep all around with no shallow end and again is NOT suitable for small children.

Just came back from the lovely resort of Bitez we stayed at this hotel and we found it was pleasant located at the end of the bay .

Food was ok lots of chicken and deserts fantastic breakfast no frills but fine. The beach and pool were great , the only negatives were the rooms don't all have balconies and a bit whiffy and staff can be a bit lazy and some have an attitude but overall good .

The hotel setting was very pretty and great for a relaxing break. The restaurant had great view over the bay - food was good but limited choice for hot food so not good if you are fussy! The rooms do not have balconies or coffee making facilities. This didnt bother us but may be important to some people. Bitez is on the doorstep - lovely restaurants - not commercial which we prefer. Hotel had own private beach. Mainly couples there as younger people probably prefer Gumbet or Bodrum Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: If you want a balcony then only the suite has one

My partner and I stayed at the 3S beach club for 10 nights in early September. After a long transfer due to the driver getting lost we arrived to a warm welcome at reception and then shown to the room.
Room: Small but very clean with good storage. The bed was two singles shoved together which was very uncomfortable. The TV in the room was a tiny portable with one English news channel. There is a mini bar which I would recommend as the room has no fridge, just keep track on what you spend as the hotel runs a card system with a 200 lira limit, we never had any problems and the staff prefers this method of payment. We found the rooms to be a little bit noisy but this could have been down to the fact that we were on the middle floor. The bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower, you did have to take a shower early in the evening if you wanted hot water. Having a sea view is great but you don’t get to fully use it, as the balcony in very small, which is a shame. There is one large balcony on one of the suites above the pool area but the suite is expensive as mentioned in an earlier posting.
Hotel: Very nice seated area in reception area nice and cool to sit and read. They do offer Wi-Fi near the pool area and also have a small internet suit just off reception at a cost of 3 lira per 30 minutes which is good value.
Restaurant: The restaurant is situated on the roof top with stunning views of the whole of Bitez, we loved eating here and found the food fine but not much selection on evening meals, but we love salads and chicken so for us it was not a problem and the salads are great. The sweets are lovely with a big choice and also fruit and cheese available. The choice at breakfast is limited with cereal, boiled eggs, cheese, salad and delicious bread. Your drinks are tea, coffee and juice which are free but you do need to pay for water or wine or beer with your evening meal.
Bar: The pool bar is big enough with about sixteen seats with more tables and seats put out on a night time. Just ask Ozzy or Paulo or one of the other bar staff and they will put any football match or any other sport on for you. The bar staff are great and very entertaining with their dancing and singing with Ozzy or Paulo being the only two Turkish lads who can’t dance “very funny”. Drink prices in Lira are: Efes 7 large 6 small, spirits 8-9 Imported spirits 12, water small 1, large 2.50.
Pool and Beach: The hotel pool is a great size but a little on the deep side for young people and the kiddies pool is tiny, but was well used by a few families. The a la carte restaurant serves food from about 10.30am to 6.00pm and is inexpensive with very big portions of good quality food. You can also order food and eat it in the gazebos on the beach that are covered in large bean bags. The beach is great with a large roped off section and floating dock to dive off which is great. You can sunbathe on any section of the Bitez beaches as long as you buy the odd drink.
Overall: Overall experience of the hotel was great with good food and great staff all of who work seriously hard to make your stay perfect. Bitez is a lovely resort with some really good restaurants, check out the restaurant guide on trip advisor, we found the Yali Meyhanesi really good and its right next to the hotel off the beach. If I were to return I would definately eat out more, the meals at the 3 S beach club suited me and my partner but would not be to everyones tastes and when you do eat out it really highlights the difference in food quality.
Positives: Staff, location, pool, views, resort and beach.
Negatives: Beds, balcony, breakfast and choice of main courses.

Room Tip: Ask for a upper floor sea veiw room. Try local restaurants they are really good.

We have just returned from our second holiday in Bitez, Turkey and our second high relaxing stay at the 3S Beach Club - our first being in 2010. After returning home in September 2010 we were eager to re-book for 2011 and done exactly that, however, as is quite often the way, the hotel didn't live up to last year's high standards.

Let me first say that this hotel is very good value for money as the deal we got was actually cheaper than 2010. The food is good, maybe a slight dip in standards from last year, however there is plenty to choose from and it is always fresh (although we eat out at The Lemon Tree a couple of nights - 5 minute walk - who had EXCELLENT staff and FANTASTIC food). The hotel offers a good range of facilities also, namely: pool, pool bar, easy access and private beach, private shaded cushion areas which is always monitored by a security guard.

Our total hotel bill when we checked out was around 250TL (90 GBP), this included our entire drinks bill for the week and 3 or 4 lunches at the pool bar.

They have a credit card style method of payment which is handy as it means you can just give them your card and they charge it to your account.

The massively noticeable difference between Sep 2010 and Sep 2011 was the staff at the hotel. We had very good, helpful friendly staff last year however this year's staff could not be described in the same way. One waiter I felt was quite cheeky and not particularly helpful, others looked disinterested and unfriendly, some had essentially no English language skills which surely would be a prerequisite for working in this hotel considering the number of English-speaking guests.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for good value for money, good food, good facilities and relaxation but you will not get 5* service here at this moment in time. This hotel is very peaceful as it is at the end of the bay and not as busy as hotels in the center of the bay with all the pubs and bars.

Room Tip: Sea-view rooms are lovely and highly recommended

We could not really fault this hotel, good size rooms very clean and if you tip the cleaning staff you will get a nice surprise. It had a nice pool area and its own beach with plenty of sun beds which we never had a problem getting even getting down at 10.30am The only downside was the evening dinner, if you like chicken every night then its for you but after a week of the same we started eating out and boy did it taste good.

I asked the waiters why chicken all the time, the reply because its cheap. It would have been nice just one night to have a different meat but this did not happen.

We had a sea view room and i would advise you pay the small amount extra and do the same because some people we spoke to had rooms with one tiny window looking onto a wall. Not what you want to look at when you open your curtains in the morning.

I think if this hotel stepped up on the food side of things it would be spot on and by the way me and my wife aint pigs or food snobs far from it. but hard boiled eggs for breakfast ( when they should be soft boiled) and chicken everyday soon gets on your nerves.

So there you have my review hope it helps.

Room Tip: Choose a sea view room
