The Moonshine apartments are used by travel companies for late bookings. The first impressions of the Moonshine apts are 'which idiot painted the walls those mad colours? 'Our apt. was shocking pink with a lime green and wild orange settee/sofa bed and navy curtains. Other rooms were lilac or green. But as a holiday maker who was leaving said to me 'you get used to it in a few days' and we did!! The apartments are not for those who like a slice of toast or bacon and egg for breakfast as the only cooking facility was a single plug-in hot plate and an electric kettle and a very large pan. Neither the kitchen sink or the bathroom sink had a plug and this seems to be a feature of all the Moonshine apartments... The balcony was for one person at a time to sit on. The air conditioning was £20 a week but well worth it as you can leave it on when you go out. The hairdryer is in the bathroom by the sink!!! The pool is all the same depth about 5 ft, but there is a kids pool which is about 2ft deep.
But enough of the negatives, the staff are fantastic, Omar is mad and is very friendly with everyone. The atmosphere is very relaxed and Omar does a brilliant job of keeping everyone entertained. The apts are popular with the Dutch but becaues the place is so small people do mix and become friends. We enjoyed our two weeks and met some very nice people.
The biggest problem was the road into Bodrum, it's about 500meters to Bodrum in a one way system and the traffic is horrendous the roads are only narrow lanes and the Turks are mad drivers. Most people we spoke to said they hated the journey especially those with prams and children.
