i contacted "El Vino" based on the reviews i read on this site. I must admit it was everything I expected and more. Deniz isthe ulmiate manager you can meet. He is always there for you and willing to assist you in any way. So does the rest of the staff, that makes you feel at home and work according to the highest standards of service. The hotel itself is soooo pretty! The pool area is relaxing and the restaurant on the roof top has great view. We were 5 girlfriends and loved every minute of our stay. another big advantage is the fact that the hotel allows easy access to the city center and main shopping and restaurants area.
I would definitely be back! And most definitely recommend “El Vino” to everyone who considers a stay in Bodrum. That is far the best “Value for Money” you can get!

We are independent travellers. We booked for one week at El Vino based on trip adviser's reviews. Deniz made the booking very easy. We believe that the room rate was also competitive.

The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to the bus station which made it easy for us to take daily trips on our own to most of the sea villages of the peninsula. It is also an easy 15 minute walk to the harbour (the outer harbour for the pubs and the inner harbour for the cafes and restaurants).

Our room on the second floor was spacious with great view of the sea and the castle. Everything in the room worked well. The hotel personnel kept the room spotless during our stay. The bedding was changed several times.

The breakfast by the pool was excellent (primarily Turkish). Kamil did a great job of managing it. We enjoyed also the diverse hotel guests and the house dog Cookie.

We live in the US (Florida) and this was our fourth visit to Turkey. We visited Istanbul, Antalya, Bodrum, Fethiye, Izmir, Selcuk, and Canakkale. We rank our all around experience at El Vino as outstanding. It is the best managed and maitained hotel we have experienced in Turkey. Deniz has gathered a large number of well trained staff to operate the hotel.

All of the staff was extremely helpful in every way.

“We loved every minute”

El Vino Hotel

Our party of 4 just returned from a trip to Greece, Turkey, and London. Our best and most relaxing time was spent at El Vino. This oasis is beautiful and relaxing with wonderful food, service and atmosphere. It's enchanting. The rooms are very nicely appointed. It is owned by a husband and wife team of architects who look after every detail. The price was more than reasonable. We all want to go back. The best place we stayed on the whole trip. Thanks to Denise and all the staff.

“Fabulous setting and service”

El Vino Hotel

Jun 8, 2008

I agree with a previous review that the El Vino is an Oasis in busy Bodrum. The property is surrounded by trees and flowers and sits on the hill overlooking Bodrum. It's 15-minute walk to the Agean Sea and Castle of St. Peter, and we had a view of the Castle from our room.

The service is excellent all around. Deniz, the manager, speaks good English, but he wasn't around until the last day, so we relied on Ahmed who spoke some English.

The breakfast was good, with traditional Turkish fare plus cereal, and they will cook eggs for you for a little extra. There was Nescafe for coffee, which actually isn't too bad.

The El Vino is very comfortable and I highly recommend it.

“The best in Bodrum”

Stayed here in Mid-May. After traveling through Turkey for a couple of days this was the best place I stayed in. The room and facilities were awesome. Most important to me is a good nights sleep and the bed makes a huge difference. The bed was so comfortable and the best bed in all the places I stayed in Turkey. We arrived late in the afternoon and the staff were so nice. Unfortunately, I dont remember the name of the good lookin' guy who took care of us. We saw that the pool area had a jacuzzi and asked if it was working. He told us that it was working but had to be turned on as it took 4 hours to heat. They immediately turned it on for us and we figured by 10pm it would be ready. We were also upgraded to a suite. It was perfect! That evening we went out for dinner downtown. Even though there are dozens of restaurants we could not find something to satisfy our palate that evening. Unfortunately, we did not take advantage of the restaurant right on the premises.
After dinner we went back to the room and it was around 10pm so we went down to the jacuzzi and it was nice and warm just as we anticipated. During our time in the jacuzzi a thunder and lightning storm started. At first it was cool to sit and watch the lightning from the jacuzzi but then we thought it might be dangerous. So we went inside and watched the lightning storm from our living room. The room already has candles set up on the walls so we turned off the lights, turned on the candles, opened up the windows and had a great view of the lightning while we drank turkish orange tea. A very memorable evening.
The next day was clear with blue skies.
Unfortunately, for us we could only stay one night as we had to continue on our journey. I would have loved to have stayed 2-3 more nights. Bravo to El Vino for such a great place!
