“Excellent Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

The work carried out by INA over the past few decades has been outstanding and has left us with a clear picture of the history of underwater archeology. The exhibits are clearly marked and easy to understand. I visit fairly regularly but I think more of an effort could be made to enlighten the general public as to when which exhibits will be open.

“a great historical display in the most fantastic setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

It might be the only decent cultural thing worth seeing in Bodrum, but it is very well worth it. The museum is absolutely fantastic (read National Geographic, Dec 1987 issue, a bronze age shipwreck - if you want to know what it is about). The setting, the mediaeval Castle of the Knights of St.John, is the perfect place, well preserved and restored.

“Very interesting, both the town of Bodrum and the Castell, plus other sights around the Bodrum peninsula!”

Maybe the oldest preserved wooden boat on show in the world? Maybe the kindest catloving people in the world?
The best fishrestaurants? I loved it.

“Certainly worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

This & the castle together are really worth a visit. The underwater archaelogical artifacts are amazing - totally unlike anything I've seen before & well presented to help the viewer understand the scope & importance of what they are seeing. The recreation of the shipwreck under water was fascinating. Pages of description could not replace the impact of actually seeing the hold of that ship. The architecture & history of the castle itself add to the atmosphere of the visit.
