“the only ancient remain in Bodrum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

The theater (not amphitheater, that is oval like the Colosseum! amphi means "on both sides!!) is the only ancient ruin still in existence in Bodrum. In spite of this, they managed to build a highway in front of it, so if you want to take a photo you must include cars and lorries. Best forgotten.

“Great View of Bodrum Castle and Bay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

We've driven past this ancient site many times, and finally got around to stopping at it for a quick tour. Unless a big coach party has just turned up, you won't have much company here. Besides the three of us, there was 1 other couple, and we had the place to ourselves. This location has been massively renovated, but you'll notice that the upper tiers of seats are still being repaired and rebuilt.

During the summer, music events are hosted here, and I think it'd be a great location to enjoy some classical music.

My only complaint is the location of the portapotty. It's located right in the middle of the amphitheatre, so pops up in your photos! Apart from this, the view of Bodrum Bay and the Castle is great from here, especially from some of the higher seats.

If you're looking for a quick sight-seeinging jaunt, not too far away from Bodrum. This is it. You can catch a dolmus from the central Bodrum bus station, and you'll be at the ampitheatre in about 5 minutes.

“Bodrum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

The boat ride to Bodrum is quick and peaceful, I went on Tuesday, market day. My only criticism about Bodrum, was the people who owned the shops urging you to come in, it's quite funny at first but can become annoying.

well luckily you do pass this theatre to and from the city and it looks amazing in the evening with lights on. In summer concerts takes place there at prices most locals can not afford.

Shows were so funny and highly entertaining even the mini disco. You get so involved with the fun and games so much work goes into them, the staff work so hard so you have a good time
