greeted by 2 very rude men - totally unhelpful - put in room with dirty bed linen, mould all around toilet and shower - health hazard, tv not working - when asked man to fix tv, he said he didn't have the right tools to do job - cigarette ends left in sink from workmen - absolute nightmare!!!

Spent 4 nights here, paid for 9 but couldn’t disrespect myself anymore and moved out. The room was a health hazard – completely damp, outside and in. I went to bed coughing from the smell and woke up wet from the mattress. I hadn’t even been drinking. It’s the only hotel I know where they wash the bed spread as well as the sheets. All my clothes stank. Kept thinking they would put me somewhere else, but they were always full. My room was 3 floors down. Other rooms must have been similar. One hotel worker boasted that he had a better room than me. Another from Afghanistan said that it was normal for him in his home country to have damp problems and in this part of Bodrum as well. However I didn’t order a 2* cave in Kandahar. The website show decent rooms. When I was leaving my Turkish friend who gave me a lift asked them what the problem was. One worker said that they had a flood 5 days earlier and couldn’t get rid of the damp. These pictures show damage from much further back than 5 days. Only Turkish tourists seemed to stay here. This hotel is way below any European standard I know of. This is minus 10 star hotel. Breakfast wasn’t too bad. Moved to another Hotel, Kasaria for the same price and wow, what a fab hotel.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2011

We arived around 2pm on 23rd June untill 7th July. and was met by 2 male members of staff who helped us in with our luggage.
We booked in and decided we want the air con and a safety deposit box.
The aircon sort of worked and cut out during the 1st night.
On the 2nd night it cut out around 4 times and had to be restarted by the staff when it cut out the 5th time it was restarted and quickly went pop.
After the aircon went pop we had several engineers and an electrician over several hours until 1.30am until the hotel decided to put us in thier own family room for the night so they could sort the problem the next day.
It took 5 engineers and 4 aircon units to dicover that it was an electrical problem in the main wiring but they bodged it for us and we had aircon.
The pool is quite small and is one of those self assembly heavy duty put up pools surrounded by decking covered with that artificial grass the type that greengrocers use but be aware of the staples poking up out of it and the wonky ladders.
We found that the hotel was away from the main drag and suited us quite well as a base and you can get a good doner kebab for 2 lira (less than a pound) just at the end of the road.
For good entertainment find chicos bar as the waiters are great and get everyone dancing and along the road from chicos bar find Troy travel as they do cheap excursions and the Turkish night they organise on a wednesday night is very good and if you take a boat trip which comes with a meal (which is quite cheap) You get a free Turkish bath. Result.!!!.
For a good day out take the dolmus to bodroom station and then get on another dolmus to Turgatries (there is a big market on saturdays)
Turgatries is a little less hectic than Gumbet and not as much hassle.
Or if you want a market a little closer you have Bodrum market on Tuesday's.
Hotel Bodroom is ok as a base to get your head down but has no bar to speak of and not really set up for having a main meal.
The rooms have a kitchen sink but no facilities to cook make tea/coffee etc and no fridge.
The 2 guy's that work there are a great help and go out of thier way to help.
Hope this helps
