We booked double room in this hotel for the last two weeks of July.
This holiday village is a real disappointment. It is obvious that there is a problem with the management system. The hotel was known as iber otel before Valtur rented for some years. It is also obvious that Valtur has driven no nail (done no improvement) since they rent this premises. The village is very well located on a peninsula with full of woods. The rooms are decorated/furnished old fashoined. Beds are small, TV is tiny and old fashioned. Bathroom window can not be opened because shower cabinet is blocking. AC is noisy and smelly. In my room i had a bed smoke smell from the AC, but the italian technician wanted to smell it by himself. He did not believe us therefore he did not do anything. The number of parasols and sunbeds are not adequate on the beach because some of them are reserved for gold club members. If you are not one of these gold club members, you may end up with laying on the sand. The beach looks sandy but it is a very thin layer of very coarse sand where my kid could not do a sand castle with. The sea bed is not sand, full of big boulders/ rocks etc. There is no shower at the beach and no changing cabinet. Sorry, there is a garden hose for you to take shower and there is only one cabinet smelling very bad. Taking shower with hose in an Italian holiday village should be embarresing. It is also funny that you have to pay 17 euro/week-each for the beach towels. I did not even ask the rate of the fittness.
Pool side is slippery, we've seen a boy bumped his head and bleeding.
The food quality is very low and full of potatoes, pizzas, pastas. Brands of the breakfast products such as butter, jam, honey are not the quality ones even not known brands locally. If there is fish left from the night before, you will sure see this next day on the menu as a new hot meal.
This is a real Italian village where there is no magazine, newspaper in English or local language. There is a shop one mile away from the village where you can find anything you want. This shop is within a Turkish/Swiss holiday village. Everything is in italian without english translation. You have to be genious to guess the meaning of the words as most of the italian staff are replying you by hand. But at least Turkish staff are very helpfull.
The animation is in italian with no translation of course.
The internet is the slowest I have ever seen. It took 6 minutes to access hotmail account. Guess how many more minutes for checking the messages. The rate is 3.6 euro/hr but considering the slowness it will cost you 7 times more.
The bar is so expensive.
I have been to Italian holiday villages that were lovely and managed very well. But this one is a disaster.
