“Beautiful Environment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

This place is good for photo shoot and prenup. Most people go here to jog and exercise every morning and evening. You will appreciate most of the sceneries here. If you want a food trip, you can go to "Area 2".

“One of the few remaining greenery in concrete, urban Metro Manila”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Whether you are curious about architecture in the Philippines post Spanish era or simply want a place to break some sweat, the UP campus is an excellent choice. Food is cheap and good, and it's one place where you can eat street food without fear. Sundays, the academic oval is car free so it is full of families, joggers, walkers. Picnic, you can do too. Student theater is alive and dynamic so there is always a performance to catch mostly during school period.

“Alma Mater Dear”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

A university is not exactly a tourist destination, but those who graduated from this prestigious university and who now live abroad should make it a point to visit their alma mater and see the changes on the campus. And all these changes are for the better.

Don't miss the new Science Complex which houses the science and engineering buildings in the university, mostly funded by donations from alumni through various foundations.

A walk through the campus is like a walk through the park; during the Christmas season, the trees that line the academic oval are all alit. Nearing graduation, university avenue is lined with sunflowers. Brings a lot of nostalgia who look at this place as UP Beloved, Alma Mater dear!

“Average destination with more of cultural and historical value for tourists and travellers.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

My daughter and I were in Quezon City to look at UP, Ateneo and Merriam to check out the different schools for my daughter's college education. We arrived at around 3PM coming from the Ateneo side. It's been ages since I have been to UP so our first stop was the famous Oblation Statue. This also the first time my daughter has seen the actual statue. The Oblation is UP's popular cultural and historical landmark.

The UP campus is huge with a lot of trees and open space. The only thing spoiling the environment are the smoke belching jeepneys ferrying the students and residents from one school building to the other. It's ambiance is academic and my daughter found the atmosphere to be really conducive for college study.

Speaking of buildings, we saw some abandoned buildings around the campus which can still be put to good use by the administration. Other buildings around the campus need painting or refurbishing.

Being a Saturday afternoon, we saw several joggers and bikers leisurely passing by when we parked in front of Virata building/hall.

Overall, I would classify the UP campus as an average destination for tourist or travellers. It has more of a cultural and historical value.

if you want something different to visit or something not to far to get in touch with the nature then UP Diliman is the answer ^_^ affordable as the place itself is free ^_^ all you have to bring with you is your fare and extra money for the foods and top of the line is the famous Isawan in UP and the UP Cafeteria ^_^
