“My first and last visit”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

Upon entering, yeah the place is nice, just like the diners i see on american movies/tv shows...... Just don't order anything other than their burgers because it is so not worth the money. Took them around 20-30 min to serve what we ordered....

“First time, so so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Pretty average for Johnny Rockets. The franchise is expensive in comparison to other fast food burgers so I expect more. Weird smell in the place, quite off-putting. Always love the Johnny Rockets' shakes and no exception here. But the burger was not great. Definitely would not go out of my way to get here and would probably just drive past in future if in the area.

“Too pricey!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2012

What I liked: The service and the entertainment overall is good. Especially when the waiters dance, very funny and they all seem to have a good time while they dance.

Did not like: The price, its too much for burgers and fries. You might as well go to Burger King. They taste the same for me. Or just jump right across EAstwood and you'll get to Stackers. They are pricier than Burger King but more reasonable than Johnny Rockets

“Classic Diner Experience at Higher Expense”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2011

Upon entering Johnny Rockets Tomas Morato, it's like time travel back to the 1950s. The seats are classic diner seats which the defunct diners of the 80s and 90s Rosie's Diner and Sam's Diner used to have. The only difference between Johnny Rockets and the two defunct diners is that the food servers are not on roller skates. However, Johnny Rockets is "The Home of Dancing Servers" so expect a dance number from the crew. Not that they're particularly good at it but at least you can see them try. You'll know there's a dance number when the music becomes a lot louder.

The Coke posters are also classic 1940s - 1950s design. And the jukebox is also quite classic. A one peso coin plays you the stuff you'd like to hear. The jukebox contents, however, are not vinyl but are CD. There are also selections at the tables where you can drop the peso coin.

The food is served in large quantities. The Club Chicken is pretty good and so is the Hot Dog sandwich. Both dishes had a generous helping of French fries but does not taste very good. We also had a Coke and hot chocolate and a take out order of Sliders. All these cost over 1K. The place is quite pricey and does not live up to the affordability of eating at a diner in America in the 1950s or the present day. (Johnny Rockets started in Los Angeles though)

For the prices they charge, the rest room of Johnny Rockets should be quite clean but it is far from it. The faucet is quite leaky and is not properly anchored on its position at the sink.

The experience is worth the time travel but the expense outweighs a repeat experience.
