We stayed here before our wedding with our bridal party. The service desk gave us breakfast vouchers for each day the day we arrived then took them back the following morning-reasons we will never know. Then our room was ransacked by the cleaners - with valuables and cash being stolen and when we made a complaint - it was made out to our fault. The service is disappointing , and isnt really that surprising when the management is appalling. If I was the owner of this hotel-I'd replace all my customer service staff. They are lazy and unhelpful. They are just fortunate they get paid to be useless. On top of it all after we left my bridal party swear the place must have been haunted with all the odd things that would happen (noises, flickering of lights..random channels changing on the TV..etc.) Although I never really experienced it.. I wouldn't be surprised .. by the way the picture of the swimming pool included in the hotel pics is not from this place. This hotel is certainly over priced for what you get.

This hotel is really poorly maintained, though staffs are friendly, lots of restaurant around, the best thing of the hotel is the starbucks coffee next to the lobby.
Windows are thin, just like sleep on the street, very noisy.
One word: OLD

Room Tip: Keep away from the CITY VIEW rooms. unless you like the feeling of sleep on the street

Was here for 4 days for work and found the location to be ideal as it was near to my workplace. The check-in area is very small and it took them a while to find my booking. The hotel room is spacious but very poorly maintained. The place needs a new paint and new fittings. The walls and doors are very thin and you will be able to hear TV sounds or people running along the corridor.

Location wise was good as there are many good eating places, starbucks cafe below and a 7-11 mart right beside the hotel. If you need to go for a good massage after work, there is also one across the street.

Room Tip: Get rooms which do not face the main road as it can get quite noisy in the morning.

I was maid of honour for my best friend this past Monday until Tuesday, February 20 to 21, 2012. She chose the place for convenience because she was marrying at a church near the area, and because her ailing father (who wanted to be present at the wedding) would find it difficult to travel from a higher-star hotel situated farther from the church. Now, the way the Imperial Palace Suites handled her wedding accommodations was disappointing. After upgrading her classic two-bedroom suite reservation to an executive two-bedroom suite, they failed to tell her that she needed to check out from the same room on her wedding day (February 21) at 12:00 nn. And then, both her wedding coordinator and I had to be the one to find an alternate room for her because the staff did not want to do it; I was offering to check out from my room early and give my room to her on the condition that they need not even fix it up, but they refused because of "company policy"! Finally they had an available room found just 2 hours before the actual ceremony, but the air conditioning units inside were faulty. Because of this we lost a number of important items related to the wedding during the transfer between rooms, and our preparation time suffered. I hope this hotel's staff improves on its courtesy and its treatment of guests, especially marrying couples.

Room Tip: Check the baths for mould and ask the staff to spray disinfectants/deodorizing formulas because the...

I have stayed several times in Imperial Palace Suites for our workshops in our organization and I have observed that they have clean, spacious rooms and efficient housekeeping staff. The food however is always a repetition of the previous day's viands.

I like their penthouse and the free use of the gym. The pool is small and there is no shower room except for the toilet at the penthouse. I suggest they consider building a separate shower room for swimmers near the pool.

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Dirty, old and worst of all, noisy in the evening. This hotel needs a refurbishing. Cockroaches crawl around, the linens are dirty looking. My family couldn't sleep properly because of a hard bed and extremely noisy from nearby bars. When I complained about the noise, they said that it was not their fault as it is coming from other establishments. They should have made the proper sound-proofing of their windows and walls.

The only positive thing I can think about this hotel is the location. It's near the restaurant area. Aside from that, I can't say anything good about it.
