This pastry shop sells products of home bakeries in a mall setting. I was expecting wholesome, non-commercialized pastries with that home-baked feel, and because their prices are not really cheap. They have a good variety of pastries from different home bakers, including the famous Mango Torte from Dulcelin. I decided to get a tub of chocolate chip cookie, promising that it will be chewy and full of chocolatey goodness. Big mistake! It was dry, crumbly and the chocolate chips are one of those cheap commercial ones. Chips ahoy was waaaay much better! Pastries must be screened before selling, because it ruins their reputation. I like the concept of this cafe/pastry store, centralizing all the home-baked goodies from different bakers around town, but they must do quality control. And the interiors are really poorly designed, with blaring fluorescent lights and cold and bare furniture. I hope they make it more charming, like an afternoon tea style place.
