I have been going to this restaurant for 3 years, almost every time I visit in Manila. I can't say enough good things about this place. The food, ambiance and service is so good, I always pick a hotel nearby to stay at, even if my business is at the other side of Manila, so that I can have as many meals there as possible.
First I will say that the service is incredible compared to any other vegetarian restaurant I have ever visited: Not only have they never made a mistake on any of our orders, but within just a couple minutes of walking away with the order, drinks and food are starting to arrive. Within about 15-20 minutes, everyone has their food.
A vegan myself, I have no problem finding vegan options -- in fact I believe the majority of their dishes are vegan, and they do not use eggs at all. They even have a rich vegan chocolate cake. My personal favorites are the club sandwich and the crispy "fish". I could eat those every day. But everything I tried was excellent, except for when I asked them to make a soup vegan and it turned out watery/tasteless because they didn't use cream.
I have visited there many times with other vegans, with vegetarians, and with meat-eaters. Everyone cleaned up their plate, and even the meat eaters were asking if they could order some takeout. One of my guests was a Filipino woman who normally refuses to eat any vegetables -- she eats ONLY meat and rice. Even she found three dishes here that she liked, and asked for takeout.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is wonderful, clean, friendly, neat, comfortable seating, well laid-out between two rooms, and it looks like a much more expensive restaurant than it actually is. There is free WiFi which works well.
I don't know if reservations are possible, but I would assume they are. There is plenty of seating, and I have never had trouble getting seats, even with larger groups, so I would not bother reserving. There is also some seating outside in the secluded front garden area.
Very professionally run, with two guards/attendants always on duty at the front gate.
1) It is a little bit hard to find. Many/most taxi drivers don't know where Scout Castor street is. But once you find it, all your time and effort will be rewarded many times over!
2) They open too late for breakfast (11am Mon-Sat, noon on Sundays). However, they are open every day till 10pm, except Sundays when it's 9pm. (I sometimes order a takeout the night before, so that I have breakfast the next morning!)
My advice: Don't miss it!

Dear Stefan M,

Thank you for very much for your review. We saw a lot of positive adjectives in there and it just gives us a warm feeling every time we read it. We know how hard it is to find our place, especially on a first visit. But after dining with us, (like you) we almost always hear that the trip is definitely worth it! And as for opening for breakfast, well, who knows! We just might start doing that in the near future.
