“Simple inexpensive hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

Have stayed much higher-end in the Philippines and was impressed with the Wi-Fi here. Rooms very simple and bed quite hard but staff friendly and helpful. TV not flat screen. You will need your own toothpaste+brush. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel in quiet street and sometimes you need to wait a bit for a taxi but plenty of tricycles pass by. We broke a glass and were not charged for it although I happily insisted on paying, thinking of the niceness of the employees. Didn't try breakfast but they said you can have it any time of day from 6am, which I thought was a great touch. Considering I paid a lot more at other hotels when in Manila before, I was very happy with what I received at this hotel but would prefer better facilities if I was travelling alone, without my girlfriend keeping me company.

Booking: Expedia sent me an email saying booking was confirmed but when I got to the airport, my arranged pick-up wasn't there. Got ripped off by a taxi driver. On arrival at the hotel, I was told they weren't expecting me as Expedia had cancelled the booking. Had to pay cash. Not hotel's fault so hasn't affected the rating I've given.

Friendly reception. I didnt like much the location as it is in a small street. The aircon in the 1st room offered to us was not working properly and they had offered us a better room replacement. Rooms are small just enough to walk out of the room or go to the toilet. I just didnt like the fact that they don't have a lift, only stairs. It's good that our rooms were on the 2nd floor only. Food is nice and quick delivery. They will also assist you finding taxi. Customer service is really pleasant.

I stayed at the hotel in the middle of Dec. 12, 2012. The hotel was fine and adequate, and much cheaper than you would pay for a hotel room in Manila. The staff was nice, and were accommodating. The first night, people in the next room were noisy late at night, and when their behavior continued, he staff moved me to a different room. The hotel is located at 49 Annapolis Street, and there are two Annapolis Streets in that area of the city, so be sure you get the right one, or else you will waste a lot of time. As a word of advice, do not take a taxi from the Ninoy Acquino International Airport to the hotel. The trip would take you perhaps 2 hours, and cost you a small fortune because the traffic is so bad all the way on the road to the hotel. I took a bus, which was reasonable in price, but still took me close to 2 hours to get to the hotel. The solution is to take a bus from the airport to the start of the LRT2 rapid transit system. The LRT2 is so cheap and really fast, and it took only about 20 minutes to get to the hotel stop, I don't remember the name of the stop at which the hotel is near, but it is right by a really big mall. The bus ride to the LRT2 line from the airport took around 20 minutes. There are lots of cheap places to eat in the area. Also, there is a nice, large park, perhaps 30 minutes away, which is decorated with lights at night, and is worth seeing.

Rooms and bathrooms are really clean though there was one time when our shower's heater was not working and another time when the faucet was leaking. The staff are really nice and helpful. The guard is very courteous as well. All in all, I would say this hotel is very good. I stay here about once every quarter with my family.

we were 2 floors up the stairs,no lift/elevator but staff helpful with baggage.this was Pesos 1650 for the two of us .The room is quite small with basic bathroom and shower, but clean! No mosquitos, coackroaches etc (this is Februrary 2013). Pleasant helpful staff 2 door staff/porters who watch over the car park right by front door Note.space for 2 maybe 3 cars .Plenty of Tricycles and taxis on annapolis street day or night. This is an ok hotel if you are transiting Manila and only staying 1 or 2 nights. We would stay here again!
