“Good Budget Hotel Close to Amenities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

This place is a good budget Hotel which is central to many things you may wish to do in Manila. Close to major tourist attractions such as Intramurous and Rizal Park! Many amenities are also very close by such as laundry, Money Changers and plenty of ATMs! Friendly staff and the oversight by the owner/Manager Terry makes sure things run smoothly and without ant troubles! It has a safe deposit box in the room which works well and adds to the security of your possessions!
Rooms are acceptable and are made up each and every day even if you rise late after partying in the many bars close by!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street are noisy! Some rooms have no windows!

Good
Hotel in general- very friendly staff, safe and secure, restaurant and bar, good meals, cold beer, travel agency attached, elevator.
Good Value Rooms include- wifi, fridge, cable tv, ensuite, safe deposit box, aircon.
(best rooms are the back corner rooms)
Good Location- money changer and laundry opposite, restaurants nearby, Robinsons 10 minute walk, jeepneys at the door.

Bad
Bar area is always dark, stale smoke odours, shower curtains mouldy.

Generally- if you can get over the older gent and the young lady scenarios (don't be too judgemental as it is a two way street) then you will find this a good place to stay.
I have stayed here many times with my Australian wife and we both agree it is very good value and can be a lot of fun interacting with the staff and meeting all types of interesting people.

Room Tip: All the corner rooms are good, and the back corner rooms are a little quieter.

Just stayed at this hotel, for two nights. Should have checked out five minutes after checking in. They demanded full payment up front cash. No credit cards. Was given a room on the five floor next to the lift, which is very noisy. The toilet left a big pool of water on the floor after flushing, the shower curtain was black and the room had a general grubby feel to it. The attached hotel bar, restaurant had more Filipinogirls playing their trade than customer. Would suit elderly single gents looking for some cheap fun.

I just stayed there for one night, since my flight arrived late in the evening! It was my second time... This time they dropped me in a very small and muffy room, no windows...
I requested another one and got it, this time with a window...but still soooo small! There are no real walls between the rooms, it's more like a kind of carton, so I don't have to explain you that I heard everything what was happening in the neighboor room!
The hotels bar is fine and staff are friendly, but the rooms itself are much over prized!
I booked the bus service from the hotel to Angeles, but this time the big bus was broken so we were all packed in a small mini van ... But normally this is a nice service as well!

Honestly this is not my place to be, thu i went there several times because i use to know some waitress.
Its an australien owned hotel bar, with hookers in the bar you can take with you to your room.
When you are a man alone in maila, why not. But when you are with a partner or family you will be disappointed and might have troubles with your wife.
Many australien man with tatoo's sitting in the bar.
However the prices and food quality is rather good.
Note that the neighborhood is paupered and almost a red district area.

Room Tip: 100 mtrs from there, you find an other australien hotel "duck inn" its cleaner, cosy and be...
