“Excellent Staff with good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014 via mobile

I was in this hotel for 5 nights on a Business trip, participating in an exhibition at SMX Convention. The location was close to the SMX and not too far from Intramuros. However, you will need a short taxi ride to both places.
The common areas of the hotel are really nice, for example the restaurant, the pool and the entrance. In addition, there is a beautiful view of the sea from the restaurant. However, the decoration of the rooms, the room lighting and the internet connection could be improved.
Without any doubt the strongest point of the hotel is its staff. All the staff was really friendly, kind and professional. I could mention as outstanding Ashley and Karen from the front desk, Jack and the ones working at the restaurant too. However, I believe all the service deserves an appraisal. They create a homely environment which makes your stay at the hotel way more confortable.

Stayed three days before flying out of Manila airport, which is probably the most disgusting, old, badly run airport in Asia.
Anyway back to the G Hotel.
It is a nice small, clean hotel and the staff are really friendly and professional.
The rooms are comfortable, the views are great, especially from the 7th floor restaurant.
That's the good part over with.
The bad points: the hotel pool is filthy and absolutely freezing, no heating and no filter system, so it is full of dust, flies etc... Not really useable, unless you want to catch a disease.
The prices are unbelievably high for the mini bar items, p540 for kitkat p420 for a small toblerone, small bottle of water p240, everything is five times the price it should be.
The bar and restaurant are also way over priced for the standard of this hotel.
We did not buy one thing in the mini bar as it is just a rip off.
Normally we empty a mini bar every day.
I do not understand the business sense with the prices.
Don't rip people off and they will buy things and you make a profit... Makes perfect sense to me.

every year is our annual convention in PICC..G hotel is really a boutique hotel..what I like most is the place near everywhere..You could walk along restaurants and roxas blvd.
I stay with my daughter and Mylah ...the room is spacious and the restroom had bathtub where my daughter had her swimming....the staff were so accommodating with any request you made especially to my daughter 's need...
So better book with this hotel...but dont expect too much on food...

The hotel sits along Roxas Blvd, a major thoroughfare, making it very ideal for those looking to shop at one of Manila's malls, go bar hopping in Malate District, go around Manila's tourist attractions, or attend a convention in one of Pasay's trade centers.

As for the rooms, we loved the minimalist but still Filipino feel of them. But what we loved more is that our suite was facing Manila Bay, thus giving us a wonderful and dramatic vantage of the sunset.

Their food and room service are good. Cafe Noir serves up a limited menu, but all the food we had, ranging from Western to Italian, were delicious by our standards. Buffet at the same restaurant isn't as big as those of five-star hotels, but the food is consistently good, nonetheless.

In our opinion, what defines this hotel though is the great service. Staff were always smiling and courteous, not to mention efficient. They always exemplify true Filipino hospitality.

a nice small boutique hotel near everything and even convenient to the airport.
all the basic needs are met; it is obviously not a five star but more than sufficient for the purpose of staying a few days. the staff is exceedingly friendly if a little untrained; restaurant food quality and selection worthy of a hotel two classes higher. my fifteenth stay, and not my last one

Room Tip: if you want to sleep, stay away from the front. traffic on Roxas Blvd. NEVER lets up, with the ancie...

I would certainly recommend this hotel.
The staff were the friendliest and attentive I have come across in all my travels. Super friendly and efficient. They made our stay very enjoyable. The hotel can be noisy depending on which room you have but closing the windows and taking advantage of the excellent A/C resolves any complaints people may have about noise. We had the deluxe room (possibly noisiest) with a great room size and adequate furnishings more like an apartment with a nice balcony overlooking Manila bay beautiful & fantastic views of the sunset over the bay.
The buffet breakfast was huge with standard breakfast items plus additional items which were replenished when necessary. Every one of the staff were well trained very attentive and friendly. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we wanted and promptly provided/corrected anything that wasn’t. The staff went beyond normal good service to make our stay enjoyable.
The hotel is centrally located near a lot of attractions and easy reach by taxi to the Airport, Mall of Asia and the Ocean Park. Many clubs and KTVs are at the back of the hotel, it is a good choice if you like night life.
Wifi Internet access is excellent.
My only complaint was that we expected to be able to cook as the hotel advertises a kitchenette available for out room. Sadly, this is just a kettle/sink/small fridge and storage cupboards.

Room Tip: Bay view rooms are a little noisy but certainly worth it if you want great views. Not troublesome if...

We stayed for three nights a stay of two nights and then one more night 5 days later. We checked in just after modnight, staff were really friendly and told us about a 6.00am pick-up that we were expecting. They did us a nice breakfast in our room at 5.15 so really flexible.
Suite on 4th Floor was very good and wifi was free, not always the case in Manila Hotels.
Problem was when we returned in the evening, we headed up to the bar, and ordered special cocktail and a beer, cocktails which were advertised in the lift were not available, promotion finished, so we asked for Cocktail of the day, they didn't have one. So we asked for Gin and Tonic and a beer, they came back with two beers, assuming that maybe it was happy hour and that both beers were for me we asked again for G&T it finally came after 20 mins, by which time we had drank the beers so we ordered another beer and G&T, we got two of each after a short wait. It was probably just misunderstanding but not great feel particularly as in the bar during this there was noisy group engaged in what seemed like shady activities with ladies and guys disappearing off to rooms.
We crossed the floor to the restaurant where surprise, surprise the specials were not available. We ordered one pork dish, OK, but a beef dish (Kare Kare I think) was inedible.
To be fair breakfast was not too bad although on or next visit we decided just to set off and grab a take-away as it took too long despite being mainly buffet.
On second visit our safe broke, guy came up quickly and managed to fix it with just a chnage of batteries and a reset.
On our next two stays in Manila we stayed in other hotels.

Room Tip: Rooms with sea view are noisier
