This is a new facility along Roxas Boulevard in Manila. It is twenty minutes from the airport without traffic and is in a good location for the nightlife of Ermita and Malate.

The rooms have a modern theme and, although not luxury, are very comfortable.

The price is slightly less than the true five star facilities in Manila, but it is a decent hotel for the price. I did not eat at the facility due to my flight times.

The staff was helpful.

My one gripe would be the lack of water pressure in the showers.

Before visiting Manila I, of course, checked out the hotel reviews on TripAdvisor and as usual was guided by them. The G Hotel seemed to be rated very favourably and comparing prices with some of the larger hotels in the area it was clearly also extremely good value. In fact my only concern was that it seemed too good value, did this mean it would actually be not so good !? Any doubts I may have had about this were totally unfounded, the hotel is excellent, all the staff extremely friendly and very, very pleased to help with whatever is required. The G Hotel is small compared with some of its rivals, but coming to a place as hectic as Manila that is a definite bonus as returning to the hotel is a pleasant, peaceful experience. My room is large and very comfortably equipped, very comfortable beds, superb air conditioning with separate kitchen / dressing area and a large bathroom with bath and shower. It also has fast speed, free wireless internet, just bring a laptop with you. Apart from the normal services which might be expected from a 4 star hotel, the G also advertises '24 hour butler service', which you might read quickly and not think too much about........until you need some personal items at 3 or 4 am. And then it really does what it says on the tin - I used this service (at 3 am) and the guys will literally get whatever you need in a remarkably fast time. They received a very good tip from me for their efforts, but there is no actual charge for the service. Room service, again very good. Buffet breakfast, including a good range of hot and cold was also included. Security presence in Manila is everywhere and is no concern here, I have felt completely secure at the hotel.
Just for reference, I live in the UK but commute a few days each week to Germany and have spent the last 5 years living in hotels. I have also been to many places around the world and stayed in a variety of places. Whilst in Manila I did also check out the other places I had been thinking of booking because I will be returning here in the not too distant future. If you have bothered to read this far.........take a tip and book the G !!

Everybody is very accomodating and very friendly when we stayed there. Food is really really good. we stayed there for only 2 nights and the employees new our names already. I would highly recommend this hotel to my business associates. more power....

First impression of the hotel was that it was very modern – black and white theme. However, the service was lacking and this was very apparent even though we stayed only one night. Most of the staff were very new and unfamiliar with the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite which looked very nice at first sight. There was a separate living area and bedroom area but upon closer inspection, the lack of maintenance is already showing – the bathroom could be cleaner, the sheets were already faded and the mattress was lumpy. I'm particular about clean toilets and this one didn't meet the standard. The walls were also quite thin as we could clearly hear voices from a party going on in the next room. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs which was a pleasant surprise except for the inexperienced staff. The food was good but not considered cheap by Philippine standards. The staff was unfamiliar with the menu and most of the waiters were new. Given that the hotel is relatively new, it is to be expected that the service standards would take a while to get up to the levels of an established hotel. However, even simple things such as a wake-up call were beyond the staff. 830am came and went without a single beep from the telephone and I was so glad that I set the alarm on my mobile phone or we would have missed our flight. Our internet room rate came with breakfast which was dismal. The milk was warm, the juices ran out and were not replenished and there weren’t enough tables to accommodate the guests. All in all, it's not a bad hotel especially because it's still quite new but I feel that for the price we paid, we could definitely have stayed at a better hotel with better service.
