“Great hotel for Balikbayans”

The Mabuhay Manor

The Mabuhay Manor Hotel is truly a paradise for Balikbayans. My family and I went there last Christmas season and the service was topnotch. we availed of the pick up service at the airport - minus the hassle of waiting for taxi..Everyone was accommodating...

The food was great, love the buffet breakfast.

Its great for families because the rooms are large, unlike other hotel rooms which are cramped.

For budget conscious travelers, this is a real bargain with excellent accommodation, almost like a 5 star treatment.

We'll spread the word around and we'll surely come back.

“Prison cell”

No windows, like a prison, very basic. Do not know why it has a good review. Staff very slow and unpleasant and unhelpful. Breakfast at unhygienic cold levels.

My family and I ( 2 adults and 2 Children ) stayed for a total of 9 days. Staff are helpfull friendly and courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The Hotel is located close to Mall of Asia and not far from Makati however it is in a seedy part of town.
Now for the problems,
1. stairs to second level of the room were extremely steep, to the degree that they would not pass western building regulations.( definately a no no for anyone who is handicapped in anyway)
2. At Breakfast apart from cereal there was little or no concession to western tatses, my filipino wife even mentioned it to me! ( Though by the same token the chef was quick in offering to prepare for me and my 2 children an omlete and bacon!)
3. Prices, this is my sore point I had booked on line and the price was quoted in US Dollars, when we went to pay the account by credit card it was converted into Pesos at a rate of 44.5 to the dollar, when the current rate was 40.5 , in effect increasing my bill by a margin of 10%!
Also the cost of hotel car to go anywhere was 3 times the price of a taxi.

“Beyond Expectations!”

The Mabuhay Manor

True to it's name, the Mabuhay Manor, welcomes their guests with true Filipino hospitality.

It is only 10 minutes from the airport, perfect for people weary from their travel and is within walking distance to the Mall of Asia . If you prefer the convenience of taking a cab like we did, it only cost us 50 pesos to get there.

Upon arrival, you instantly feel the warmth and coziness of home. The lobby lounge is small but has many wooden chairs and comfortable couches to sit on while waiting. They also have traditional Filipino games like sungka to keep you entertained. A charming addition are the scrapbooks with pictures and notes of delighted guests, most of them foreigners and balikbayans.

We had a very early flight the next day and were pleasantly suprised when the front desk officer offered to have tuna sandwiches and brewed coffee brought to our room. In lieu of the buffet breakfast that is served at 6am. They arrived at 4:00 am as requested! He also gave us the option of taking the hotel's shuttle service, which only costs 250 pesos per trip and so much cheaper than the 330 pesos we paid the airport taxi driver the day before.

The hotel never ceases to amaze as the rooms were spacious and faultlessly clean. Also, on the bed was a bundle of hand towels and toiletries to make us even more welcome.

Mabuhay Manor is the epitome of Filipino hospitality. We will definitely stay here again!

That's what Mabuhay Manor and staff is . . . Charming, clean and accommodating.

My 91 year old mom and I stayed at Mabuhay Manor for 7 days and we totally enjoyed the relaxed, respectful and hospitable atmosphere.
The front desk staff, the dining room staff and everyone at the hotel were very charming to say the least.

Included with the price of our room was free breakfast throughout the 7 days. Breakfast was a full filipino breakfast which included rice and/or garlic rice, eggs, soup, tinapa, adobo, toast, fruits and anything and everything you can think of. The menu varied everyday and everyday it was sumptuous!

We also used their room service which was very, very reasonable on top of the food being very, very delicious! One night around midnight or so, my mom wanted arroz caldo. They went out of their way to cook it just for her and to her taste. It arrived hot and freshly cooked. Accommodating...yes, they are!

The room we stayed in had two comfortable queen size beds. The rooms have hardwood floors which glisten. Our room and bathroom was cleaned
excellently well everyday.

They have a van service that took us to the Mall of Asia and picked us up when we were ready to return to the hotel. We also used the van
service to take us to the airport.

I highly recommend Mabuhay Manor. And I will definitely stay there again!
