“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2014 NEW

It has been revamped. It looks very clean, there are good views and walks. I won't suggest a guided tour, because you can do it easily on foot.

“Great park and historic area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2014

The park and historic area are 75P to enter. Quiet beautiful park with the ancient walls on show up to the river. The fort is dilapidated but pleasant. Gardens are well presented and clean. It was relaxing and you have the option of a guide and/or horse drawn carriage. We spent an hour there.

“Interesting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2014

Gave good insight into the ups and downs of Manila's history, particularly the effect of Dr Rizal - beautiful serene gardens, atmospheric - definitely worth a visit.

“Peaceful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2014

Hire a guide. Do not do this alone. If you just wan to chill, go ahead but if you'd like to know what you're looking at and what it means, hire a guide.

“A walk back in time...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2014

Wow, what a journey we went on. The Fort is so beautiful, seeing the old buildings, the dungeon and the monuments erected sprinkled around the Fort is just so lovely. We didn't do the tour, we just leisurely walked around and took in all the history. The horse and carriage rides were available but we didn't do the ride, the horses looked so tired foaming from the mouth and it was a really hot day, we felt sorry for them. Besides that though it was a thoroughly enjoyable walk.
