“Loved it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

My good fortune to stay in this hotel for a month while on business in Manila. Large suite, great view, and outstanding service. The neighborhood surrounding to hotel is not the greatest - reason for the "very good" vs "excellent" rating. I stayed on the 11 th floor and had access to the executive club, which was perfect for relaxing after a long day. Plenty to eat and plenty to drink, good variety. Breakfast was served there as well each morning. Suite had a large living area divide into sitting and eating areas. An equally large bedroom was off of the living room with a large bathroom attached. I had plenty of room to spread out during the month stay and the bed was great. Negatives - sofa was hard, small and not comfortable, and air conditioning seemed to have a mind of its own - and it was all cold! Another negative, no seating in the lobby. Waiting for friends and cars for pick-up required standing in the lobby, would have preferred a comfortable place to relax while waiting. But that said, had a great stay and would return. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: High up and ask for a water view. The sunset is something to behold.

I highly recommend this hotel when traveling in Manila. Service is excellent with a nice fitness center, spa, and swimming pool. The only drawback is the location. It's in the middle of poor area of Manila.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent. Manila Bay side is best.

5 star hotel and very accommodating staff. Excellent staff at Market City cafe. They are always checking on you and making sure you are taken care of. The location is excellent, but the surrounding area is sometimes below average. The Casino is okay, but needs more tables open during peak gambling hours.

Room Tip: King rooms are excellent, and can hold up to 4 travelers.

This hotel is one of my favourites and always lives up to expectations (although I never visit the casino). Staff are fantastic and really make the hotel top notch. Rooms are large, clean and bathrooms well designed with a separate wet area for shower and bath.

Restaurants offer great quality food and again the staff are outstanding. Example being after a couple of mornings they can recall you drink order at breakfast. Gym and spa is excellent and never appeared very busy.

In regards to location it suits me as my meetings are close by and I could walk. I did not feel unsafe in the daylight, but took the usual precautions you should take in a big city. Took transoport and taxis at night to be on the safe side.

Overall I will definately be back.

The lobby and the reception area doesn't feel cozy because there are no lounging areas. You have to stand all the time. The loud music from the bar within the hotel near the lobby can be heard up to the reception area. The common areas and the rooms are well maintained. The room we stayed in was really big but there was this part that feels too big and gloomy-- the coffee table area facing the pool area. It was big and gloomy probably because of the huge curtains, very high ceiling and bare walls. Though i like the bathroom, it was spacious and well lit. If you're into casino and bar then this is the place for you.

I stayed 2 night here using points redeemed as a Gold Passport Member! I paid nothing to stay 2 terrific nights at one of the best hotel in Manila! I check in with my wife and little 2 months old daughter and within 10minutes I checked in, the staff send me a card and chocolate wishing me a special day for me! Room given is well appointed and facing Manila Bay & Diamond Hotel. Security is second to none and the staffs will always offer to help especially when you have a baby, stroller and lot of other stuffs together. Location is excellent and don't have the problem of getting taxi if you stay in the Bay or MOA area. No horrific traffic jam in Malate and it is near Robinson Mall where you can find tons of things to buy and food to eat.
