“A Must See in Manila”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014 NEW

Beautiful old church, built way back when the Spanish ruled The Philippines. 100 pesos buys you entry to the church and the adjacent museum. Located within the historical Spanish-built walled city of Intramuros, this church deserves a perennial place on any touring traveller's checklist. The stone carved exterior is marvellous, the interior decorations are breathtaking and the view from the choir loft is spectacular. Definitely a must see.

“Simply awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014 NEW

I've been here on 2 occasions and both of them were weddings where I have a role. The architecture is just admirable, the interiors and the statues. I liked how wide the aisle is, one could imagine a friar doing sermons.

“Historical old church, very nice place to visit.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

The church of St. Augustin, located in the heart of Intramuros and it is absolutely a must-see attraction. I visited it during Easter time, here was literally crowded a pit of people in the square in front of it many tourists thronging who occupied the square and above all the church. The beautiful old church inside is large and full of historical relics of great artistic value. Absolutely it is one of the most beautiful and well kept churches Manila.

“400 years Old and still the must see attraction in Manila”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

A UNESCO world heritage site, San Agustin and its adjoining Museum (100 pesos entry) is outstanding Architecturally and historically. It is the oldest stone church in the Philippines and has withstood numerous earthquakes over the millennia and and was the only church left standing out of 7 after the "Battle for Manila" in the second world war.
The "Choir Loft" is well worth viewing.
The museum has been restored and is a huge must for those interested in History. The "Sepulchre" with the names of heroes of the revolution are buried here and is very moving for those wanting to know more.
