For location alone, this hotel scores. It is in the heart of Manila. A walking distance to a major mall, within 30 minutes of Makati. The second best thing is the staff. They are very accommodating: early or late arrival, delayed check out, luggage storage if going out of Manila for short trips. I rarely eat at the hotel restaurant or order from room service as there are a hundred of other choices around the hotel including the mall.
For the last six years, I've stayed at this hotel for two weeks at a time just about every 6 months.
There maybe other better hotels in the area (including the Pan Pacific and Hyatt) but for the money, Palm Plaza is more than a bargain.
For sure there are things that can be better. Being an older hotel, the furnishing is outdated but serviceable. Wifi is available but can be expensive. It is located on the corner of two very busy streets so outside noise can be a problem.
But I'm happy with the place and I would highly recommend it for budget conscious travelers.

started staying there when the rooms were fifteen hundred as it offered great value, the beds are comfy, aircondioning works very well with lots of hot water and great water pressure for the shower, didn't mind having no tub and teeny soaps, complimentary newspaper sometimes a set breakfast, one elevator, impressed with the handling of reservations, front desk employees at executive plaza, its sister company, should follow the example of palm pkaza.

As I do business in this down-town area this is the best of a bad bunch of hotels in the area.
Staff is friendly but the area does not feel safe - loads od pimps, prostitutes, sellers of everything from belts to Viagra

Bad:The rooms felt a little cramped. The beds were just ok and the AC was a little noisy.
Good:The hotel is well equipped for a longer stay duration. It's conveniently located and is very close to Robinsons mall. Taxis are always available outside the hotel and easy to find coming back in the night. Most places to visit in Manila are Within a 3km radius from the hotel. Safe area at night.
They have sightseeing tours packages but it's not really required as its relatively easy to get around.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing Robinsons mall. They also ask for a refundable deposit of 1000pesos even thoug...

This is my second time at the Palm Plaza Hotel. I stay here on my way back from Angeles City, so usually i stay a few days only. If I stayed longer, I may have to find another hotel. It is conveniently located, close to Robinson's Mall. The room is average, the staff is good but did not have my reservation on this trip. The security is excellent here, very observant with the guests.

Located on the corner of Andriatico & Pedro Gil streets, it is only a one minute walk to Robinson Mall. Plenty of Mini stops and Seven Eleven stores around as well. Rooms are clean and the staff are quite friendly, however I found the room quite small, don't know if the other rooms are the same. Free breakfast was only fair, nothing to write home about.
I think there are plenty of other hotels in the same area with better value.

stayed there just one night because my flight got in so late. the hotel was just average, pretty clean. the location was not that nice a bit further from the airport then i thought. but like the title says if your just looking for a place to crash for the night it gets the job done.
