We had a family lunch at Spiral as a send-off party to our aunt. We arrived at 12:00 nn; buffet service starts at 12:00nn-2:30pm. We were seated on La Veranda, less noisy and less busy part of the restaurant, with good view of the pool and the Manila bay. Ambiance is good, except for the room temperature (I guess they had their AC on full). Service is good, but can be slow during the peak hour (12:30 - 2pm). Now, for my favorite part: FOOD. Spiral got the widest variety of cuisines I had for a buffet here in the Philippines. They have salads, cheeses, hams, chinese, filipino, japanese, indian, korean, american french, etc; and their dessert corner is very good. Here are some of my favorites from the spiral:
- beef prime rib and lamb roast (tender, juicy, cooked perfectly everytime)
- peking duck (goes well with the plum sauce)
- roasted chicken on Filipino section
- cookies (the best!)
- white chocolate truffle
With the choices and quality of food (dining cost is high, but if you want good food you should pay good money right?), Spiral is good place to go for families to celebrate.
