“Doors can be unlocked WITHOUT THE KEYS....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2012

The hotel room is okay. However, beware that there is no security, but the elevator guy who can hardly be expected to deal with bad guys if any. Also, the door can be opened EVEN WITHOUT A KEY. I was complaining and the guy from front desk said, this is for the housekeeping ???!!!! and that this is usual practice in most hotels!!!

I got scared and went out of there at 1am in the morning because one never knows what may happen if you are already asleep. Why is that place so unmindful of security and safety? For all we know, these people can also enter the rooms without the guest's permission.

Room Tip: If you value your safety, stay away from here.

Everytime tourists go to Malate people would often think that they would stay in shangri-la or hyatt but some tourists are smart enough to think that they don't need to spend much on hotels that's why they ask for 3 star hotels that offers the same bed or room size but for less.

I came in to this Condo Hotel in Ermita and I never thought that inside this very buy building lies a beautiful Hotel. Although at one point you wont enjoy riding their elevator because like what I told you its always busy, but when I entered the lobby on the 3rd floor and was greeted by their very accommodating staff, well, I changed my mind. Imagine those sweet smiles upon entrance. I noticed that their rooms can be compared to those of the five star ones and very cozy too, just ask them for options and they would be glad to help you. But for those who wants to have a wifi connection inside the rooms, sorry but this isn't the hotel for you (at the moment) coz they don't have that service yet. Most rooms have already gone into renovation so expect a fresher look. They have a promo right now so prices range from P1,800 to 7000/ day and they don't have their own resto or cafe. But that's not a problem surrounding that hotel are vat numbers of restaurants and cafes so they are just a walk away.
pecial thanks to Angelo and company for accommodating me nicely:)

Room Tip: For a family or a group of friends, I suggest you take the bedroom suite, very spacious and elegant

This 'hotel' is more a 30 year old building in which some owners' units are available for individual nightly or longer letting.

Reception is not at ground level, as the latter is occupied by many recruitment agencies for Filipino 'OFWs' (overseas contract workers), mostly bound for the Middle East. Security guards are posted at each of the two entrances but in reality anyone who wished to gain entrance to the building could do so easily.

I have stayed here twice and the unit you get (and its quality) seems a little 'hit or miss.'

The first room in which I stayed was acceptable, although the bathroom was rather small. There is plenty of storage space and a balcony, which of course heats up during the day.

Airconditioning units are noisy. While I am not a light sleeper, I had to switch it off before going to sleep and switch it on again in the middle of the night (briefly) after the room temperature rose.

There is no on site restaurant, nor is there a pool, but for A$50 or US$45 in the heart of Ermita, next door to the excellent Robinson's Place Mall (extended in 2008), i wans't really complaining - however I have since found better 'digs' and will not be returning to the Midland Plaza.
