Alila Hadahaa is truly a distinguished resort with breath-taking beauty. The island is quite small probably 200 sqm in diameter, surrounded by the infinite stretch of the sea giving you a sense of seclusion but never allowing you to feel trapped. The water is crystal clear and the sand is white and fluffy which means you can stay barefoot all day long. It is an absolute disconnection from the hustle and bustle of city life.

An Alila representative received us upon arrival in Male, and checked us in the domestic terminal to Kadedhoo, only to be met by another representative who escorted us to a speedboat to the resort. The staff are great and very efficient and make your trip absolutely hassle free. Refreshing cold towels and welcome drinks are offered upon arrival and then we were taken to our villa by the villa host.

Villa
We spent 4 nights at the Island Villa with pool with a stunning view of the beach and were very impressed with its minimalist design, luxurious furniture and especially with the resorts environmental awareness. The pool was big and was attached to a large and very comfy daybed. Two private beach loungers are placed just outside your villa in front of your private stretch of beach.

Activities
From then on, you have numerous activities to chose from. We snorkeled on all days and on each day we saw something new. It was incredible that 2 meters into the water outside your villa you can see live coral teeming with colorful pretty fish (snorkeling equip can be collected upon arrival and kept for your entire stay - complimentary). We also did 2 SUBA dives, one in the house reef and one further and both were extraordinary. The coral were dense and very diverse that it really felt we were in a coral jungle! The instructor Chika was great and so much fun! We also kayaked (complimentary use) around the island. Also went on the fishing trip, maldivian style i.e. string, weight and hook plus tuna bait, at sunset which was remarkable, everyone on the boat caught at least one fish, my husband managed to catch a huge white snapper weighing over 4 kg. What impressed me the most was that the restaurant cooked the fish for us less than an hour latter. The fish was marinated in-front of us, put in the oven / fried and decorated, it tasted divine - highly recommended, definitely the highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed the spectacular sunsets as well as gazing at the multitude of bright stars at night. Had we more time at the island we wouldve gone on the cultural tours to nearby islands, tried the spa and complimentary fitness/yoga/core training classes, amongst other activities provided by the resort.

Food
The food was delicious, we tried everything from their chicken curries, pastas, to sandwiches. I highly recommend the pad thai noodles and the green papaya and mango rice rolls. The breakfast can be ordered from a menu at Relish restaurant and was always of supreme quality. Snacks were served with tea at Batuta restaurant - complimentary and then a sweet snack was provided at turndown. Which really means you will buy dinner only. Although I must say that the prices are very expensive, an appetizer would cost $15-25 while a main course would cost $20-40 and desert $18-25 per person.

The service
Very personable, the staff are extremely friendly, generous and are willing to do anything for you, the answer was never no. It is truly amazing. The guys at the restaurant always knew our personal preferences and provided them. My husband asked for a sheesha and 10 minutes later it was there! The guys managed to get one from a nearby island. Also when relaxing at the beach, we were provided with ice-cold water, refreshing towels and a drink - all complimentary! This is definitely first-class service.

Thank you Alila Hadahaa! Special thanks to Ihsan, Ahmed, Hamood, Chika, Saed, Chef, and Faseeh for making our holiday an unforgettable one.

we stayed in Alila Villas Hadahaa for 5 days during the fist week of November and I would say this was the best holiday we ever had. We travel frequently and having stayed at some of the other high class resorts in Maldives, I would rate Alila Villas as the best resort in the Maldives.

During the month of October my partner and I were looking for a resort to stay and we have had few resorts in mind and started to get more information from various resorts. Alila has been very helpful and the staffs were very enthusiastic and passionate while they speak on the phone and by email. The most prompt and efficient replies we have got to our emails were from Alila and this made a huge difference for us - we were extremely impressed with their prompt and efficient replies to all our questions. The decider to book Alila among other few resorts on our mind was the efficiency, promptness and attention to details we got from Alila for all our request.

The villas were for beautiful, unique design and was cleaned very well. The beach in front of our villas was huge and so soft - we never had chance to wear our slippers as we enjoyed working on the soft sandy beaches.

The 2 restaurants were amazing, especially Relish on the rooftop horizon where we spent time looking at the stars. The quality of food was great and there is nothing more they can do for us... We traveled a lot and was impressed that we gor water free of charge with all meals as well as in our villa. The staffs in the restaurants deserves to be complimented as they are doing a very good job.

We are not divers so we have nothing to share about diving, but the Spa was excellent .

Value for money we would say it is worth to spend over US$1500 for those ISland Villa with Pool and for Aqua Villa. We paid US$900 per night for Island Villa including breakfast but then we were charge only for 2 nights while we stayed for 4 nights.

Staffs - staffs at Alila Hadahaa were the best we seen as they were so friendly and always approachable. We are quiet demanding, but when it came to Alila we didn't have to demand for anything as we got everything beyond our experience.

We would definitely go back there for a longer time and would highly recommend

Our expectations were exceeded during our nine day stay at this luxurious resort. Everything is brand new and the staff consistently positive. The service was excellent!

Transfers were handled professionally, the brief flight from Male to the resort atoll and then short boat ride were a delight. More than enough to take in visibly during your journey to the resort as you absorb the beauty of the Maldives.

We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of the Beach Villa w/ Pool, spa, two restaurants, fine white sand beach, Dive Center, yoga, outdoor lounge/bar and the warm people on the Alila Team. My wife and I have vacationed in Bali, Belize, Tahiti and Honduras...this experience ranks at the top.

Trust me, we are high maintenance. We expect top notch service and high quality accommodations. You will not go wrong with any selection of a Villa. It simply depends on your personal preference. The Villas are strategically located for maximum privacy yet only a few steps away from the restaurants, spa, 2 pools and beach.
We stayed in Villa 5, close to the Dive Center and Spa. This made it even easier for getting to/from our activities. Indoor shower, outdoor shower, outdoor tub, spacious room, free internet, large flat screen TV, stereo system and lotions/soaps were perfect. Only concern in the room was the iPod docking station...it was not working properly. By the way, you will be glad to know that we had no issues with bugs, our free bottled water was constantly replenished and there was always a fresh cool hand towel being presented at meals/activities through-out the day.

We enjoyed dining in our Villa a few times...very pleased with the response time and menu options. Feel free to order anything from the menus from both restaurants for dinner any where. Make sure to ask about dining on the beach, on the rooftop of the main building or in a private room on the second floor of Relish. These make for great memories. Special tip...as you enjoy your Maldivian food, ask Hamood to tell you about the story behind "Battuta", the name of the restaurant.

The entire team at the Dive Center was impressive. Shumi took the lead as we went through the process of achieving our Open Water Certification. His attention to detail, sincere passion for diving and knowledge of the dive locations was inspiring. We went on 5 separate dives during our stay. The "house reef" was excellent as well a the various locations around the atoll. The "drift dive" is a must! If you prefer snorkeling, equipment is complementary and you will be impressed with the many sights around the island coral. Turtles, black tip sharks, butterfly fish, clams, eagle rays...to name a few. We were amazed! Reminder...everything here is new.

The staff at the Spa were well trained and committed to our relaxation. We especially enjoyed the layout of the various spa villas. The complimentary yoga classes are customized to your level/experience. We could tell that the instructor was sincere about our individual well-being.

You will notice that everyone at the resort is committed to your utmost satisfaction during your holiday experience. Tania (Dir of Guest Services) and Uwe (Resort Manager) have done well in leading the staff of Alila in regards to being sensitive to the special requests/expectations of guests.

We are looking forward to our return! This island is absolutely beautiful! It was well worth the trip from the United States, so don't hesitate in making your reservation!

I had such high expectations for this resort at is new and the travel company recommended it highly. I must say that I have never before been so disappointed by a holiday. The resort is very poorly laid out and not designed for a tropical environment. Wind and rain come blasting through both restaurants and you cannot enjoy your meals. The bar is also in a terrible location and is blasted by storms and there is nowhere to take cover. The General Manager is one of the most unfriendly ones I have ever seen and we wondered why he even bothered to 'do the rounds' in the mornings as he was usually very surly. The rooms themselves are nice, but not 5 star quality at all. We noticed many defects - like some of the lights in our rooms didn't work, the bathroom sink leaked, there were stains on the pillows, etc. The free wifi they advertise does not seem to work at all which was very frustrating. Again, all things that we dont' expect at a 5 star resort. The best part of the resort was the water - it was very nice and the reef was fantastic. Next visit to the Maldives - skip Alila as it does not live up to the hype!!

Our Holidays at Alila have been the best on Maldives we ever had. Especially the Diving was excellent. The Diving equipment is brandnew and the employees are outstanding. Especially instructor Shumi Ameen was our King of Underwater. He has shown us the unspoiled Underwaterworld of Addu in a way we have never experienced before in plenty of our Divingtrips. He loves what he is doing and thats what you can feel when he is your guide. Bahamas, Palau etc was nothing compared what we saw there. Not a lot of Divers had the possibility to dive there before us. So thanks to Shumi for that perfect Diving Experience we had (we will be back next year).
The Island is brand new and everything was really fantastic. Food was excellent and our pool villa too. The staff on the whole Island seams to be in a really good mood all the time.
So thanks to everybody for making our holidays "outstanding".
I came there especially for diving thats why I cant say anything about other things you get offered there.

Thanksssssssssssssssssssssss to ALILA
