“Magnificent place!”

Male's most famous architectural landmark.It was built in1656.It is very beautiful and magnificent place!The walls of the Friday Mosque are built with coral stones and they have Arabic writings and nice ornamental patterns on it.You should take your shoes off,and cover yourself with the cloth when visit this unique place.

“Surprise”

In the crowd of the vivid city placed on a small island, This tiny mosqe is a Real surprise. High modern office buildings arourd and ten in few steps small quiet oasis, with some green and beautiful mosqe in the middle. It is posible to Enter to the grounds and look the wall decorations and delicacy of the artefacts. If in Male, "sacrifice" hali your and visit it.

“quick visit”

was surprised to see that not all visitors were covered up... we had to wrap ourselves in sarongs top and bottom although we were wearing sleeved tshirts... too hot and still as no fans/electricity switched on. not very much to see..

“a masterpiece of antient art”

its a great mysterious enter to the history of religion, you can feel the breath of the ancient ages throe the coral walls of the Mosque. although the ladies are not allowed to go in.
