Before you book this hotel, check out their website. www.tunehotels.com/ It states that the focus of the hotel is a comfortable bed and a good shower and it defintely delivered on both accounts. Anything more than that you must pay for such as AirCon or a towel, but at a reasonable price. The location is fantastic. Very close to Bukit Bintang and Petrona Towers and 3 minute walk to the monorail.

This is a no frills hotel and as long as you are aware of this when you book, then you wont be dissapointed. Very Comfortable (yet very small) room, the best shower i've had in malaysia, quick check in and out and convenient location.

I'd defintely stay there again and recomend it to my friends.

Tune Hotel is probably the worst hotel I had ever stayed in, whatever I paid for is not worth a single cent.

The rooms were extremely small, if you put two pieces of luggages in it, you can't move. You will have to move your luggage else way before you can walk out of the room or go to the bathroom.
The cleanliness of the room is horrible, as if like the 50s or 60s hotel. And the room I stayed in smelled funny, it is like something is rotting away.

I heard some funny noises throughout the night, keep repeating. It started with the sound like a big metal tray with some metal tools inside dropping to the ground and follow by loud noises of people talking. It went quiet in about 2 to 3 minutes, and after that the whole process repeated itself again in about 10 to 15 minutes interval and in the exact same sequence. This happened for about 4 to 5 time through out the night.

I later learned from some friends that Tune Hotel was a hospital before.

Scary!!

First the things that we did not like

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our holiday so we did not unpack our case which was probably just as well as there was not really anwhere to put stuff and our big case was in the way as the rooms are quite small.

The hotel is at a busy road intersection and it is very noisy and as it is on a corner there are not really any quiet rooms. We found that if we ran the fan all night the constant hum did drown out the noise.

We did like the bed which although it took up most of the room was very comfy and large. The shower was also great and plenty of hot water. The air con was very effective and you could open your window if you wanted to let air in or out.

You do have to pay for towels ours were immaculate and soft and we got some soap and shower gel too. The rooms and the public areas were spotlessly clean.

There are two cafes in the reception area a free ATM and free internet room. There is also a 24 hour mini market.

The location of the hotel is fantastic with a monorail staion serving the Sentral railway station about 300m away. In the opposite direction is the LTR which serves the central bus station and China Town about 5 mins walk.

We found the stafff helpful and friendly and overall were very happy

Just stayed at the Tune from 31.12.2008 - 03.01.2009. I usually dont stay at those properties since I am hotelier by myself and like to see the hotel-hotspots in the city, however this time I decided to stay downtown in KL at a hotel with a rate of approx. 20 EUR. Need to say that I never did that before. Check was smoth, room was ready for c/i immideatly. Room 205 was the first one I got. The door closed behind me and I stood in a almost humid room with a temp. of 28 deg. Celsius - unaccaptable. Found out a minute later that the A/C is extra chargeable (in a country with a daily average temp. of 25+), when I tried to sit on the bed I found out that it was moistly - unaccaptable No.2. Bathroom was not 100% clean - which was ok, but the floor towel was dirty and bloody. I requested to change the room and got 210. Almost the same problems but decided to stay there. Beside the fact that the hotel is not really clean, well maintained and looked after I strongly suggest to pay a couple of dollars more but stay then in a clean, dry and well maintained, cool room. Tune hotel - interessting to have it tried, but never again.

We payed AU$20 per night for this hotel, and I was absolutely amazed with the place, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for budget accomodation in KL.

The rooms are of course small - but you have to expect that for the price, they were incredibly clean, the bathroom was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in in my life.

You are in a fantastic area, the monorail is across the road which links you upto everything.

You will need to purchase A/C separately, and you WILL need this, but this is a fantastic hotel. There is a subway and seven eleven at the bottom also - so there is everything you need.
