Stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel overall needs a freshen up.outdated furniture, peeling wallpaper, dirty marks on our room walls. The location is fine, plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby and as others have said, handy to the monorail station. Breakfast is adequate, nothing fancy and not much variety, but tastes nice enough,so still a good start to the day. Our room had 2 single beds, and as such, according to the reception, has no in room safe. Strange in this day and age. They did offer to store my valuables in a safe deposit box in the office. This is obviously not as convenient as in your room. I would probably stay here again.

i have stayed in this hotel on almost 2 dozen occasions since 2008, i believe the location is very suitable for me being close to the monorail which is 3 stops away from bukit bintang, shopping centres and supermarkets are nearby. this hotel is 3 star, with large rooms with twin double beds or a higher grade with a king size bed. there is free wifi, bottled water and tea and coffee in each room. the hotel is older, but the lobby area and cafe have been remodeled, but the rooms are needing refurbishment with new carpet and fixed furniture although its well maintained. the beds are good quality with good linnen. as i have stayed in this hotel on so many occasions, i have used many rooms on several floors, so my review is a good example. the housemaids do a good job as well as receptionists, they are courteous and very helpfull. i have stayed in other hotels nearby, but value for my money the prescott inn is much better

Room Tip: most of the rooms are similar although i try to request a higher non smoking floor

It was not easy to know how far it is from the monorail station to the hotel when I booked a room online. Once I got there, I found there was only about 2 mins walk to Monorail Medan Tuanku. About the room, I asked for the higher floor and the hotel really gave me one. We stayed in a quiet room and everything in the room is fine. Room cleaning is good. I recommend this hotel to anyone that does not want to spend too much on the accommodation but have a quite nice stay in KL. The monorail station is just a few stops away from city center and also easy to the International airport Via KL Sentral. Everything was perfect for me - near to Junction Mall, Sogo, Pertama Shopping Complex, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman Shopping place. Only 1 stop to KLCC ( Bukit Nenas Monorail Station ), 3 Stop to Bukit Bintang ( Shopping Paradise ). You also can use KTM Komuter ( Behind Sogo ) and only 2 stop to Mid Valley Megamall.

The hotel is in a central location, easily accessible from the airport. Motorrail station (Medan Tuanku) is 2 mins on foot, there’s no escalators, so you have to carry your bags to the hotel. You’re better off with taxi, it’s not expensive either. Hotel – airport 70-80 RM/taxi.

The hotel is rather a disappointment after seeing the pictures on the website. The common rooms are nice, the reception, lobby, cafe.
The rooms are quite run-down, the furniture is worn out, the bedding and towels shabby, the bathroom is simple and small. View of buildings. It’s far from 3 stars. The staff is helpful tho. The breakfast is good, but refilling the ran out food goes a bit slow. The buffet is almost empty by 8.

There are much better hotels in Kuala Lumpur, i wouldn’t go back here. Book another one.

Room Tip: Book another hotel.

One very good feature of this hotel in my view is that it is located very close to the Medan Tuanku monorail station and it is much more convenient to travel in monorail in KL than in taxis because of the traffic jams. We had to go to the Central Market and Petaling street and instead of hiring a taxi, we used the public bus which was very convenient, not to say cost-effective and fun.

During my previous stays we had stayed in the Bukit Bintang area and getting on and off the Monorail at Bukit Bintang and Imbi is bothersome during the rush hours. Not so at Medan Tuanku, since it is 3 stations away from Bukit Bintang, so at just a few more minutes of ravel time the stations is much less crowded. The hotel is a 2 minute easy walk from the monorail station.

The check-in was ok. There was no bellboy so we hat to load our luggage on the trolley and take it to our room ourselves. We had to complain to the front office and change room twice before we got a room with proper air-conditioning and had to shift our entire luggage ourselves except for some small help in the last leg of shifting. We did get bellboy facility on our check-out day though.

We arranged the airport transfer at a very reasonable rate through the Tour Agent stationed inside the hotel lobby.

Hotel breakfast is just a notch above basic. We stayed for 6 nights and only on the 4th day we accidentally discovered that the hotel also has an Indian breakfast setup on the mezzanine floor. However, the Indian breakfast wasn't anything to write home about either.

The hotel is located at a VERY easy walking distance to some Muslim / Indian Nasi Kandar restaurants that offer excellent food. The hotel is a very convenient walking distance to the SOGO Shopping mall, Starbucks, Mc Donald’s and KFC as well as whole market of budget shopping outlets.

All in all, i would love staying at this hotel again if they fix their air-conditioning problem.

Room Tip: Make sure that the room you get has proper air-conditioning

We stayed here when we were in KL recently and found the location really handy. The monorail is just 2 minutes away which gets you to anywhere in KL either direct or by connection. If you need a taxi, there are ample on the main street or walk to Pertama Complex 10 minutes away and there is rank. There are also many food outlets nearby including some open 24 hrs. 5 minutes away is the Sogo supermarket and a departmental store.

Th staff are friendly and helpful but the rooms are tired and old.howevet, I found it clean despite the age. The showers were not strong although had no problems with hot water. The air condition system was not cold but neither was it hot or unbearable. There is free Wi-fi but connection is sometimes patchy. There is also free parking.

Despite the shortcomings, I'd stay here again on my next trip.
