We are by no means avid museum goers, but this museum was, even for us, quite sparse with its facts. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it. It provided a snapshot of the history (the independence era section was closed) of Malaysia in an accessible way. It took us about an hour to go through the whole museum reading each of the signs. The signs are in excellent English, but the visit did still leave us with some gaps in our knowledge.
The building is pleasant and the gift shop of quite good value. We did however, not find a good route to the museum, even if we followed signs. The signs took us across dual carriage way crossings without zebra markings.
From the museum I would recommend visiting the Lake park which is very pleasant and nearby.
