“Be prepare for sweating”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

If you come at night, you better wear a simple t-shirt and short pants because at the night the road will be full with the shop and you will even hard to breath in the peak hours such as weekend because there will be very crowded and you will even hard to walk. There is the place to get fake branded stuff for a low price but i don't think the quality is good enough, so better just go here at day to take a look rather than at night when the place is full of people. There are also a lot of pickpocket in the night so you must very becareful with your belongings. Don't forget to try the famous "Air Mata Kucing" in the junction of Petaling street. Its weird to trans late in english because its means "cat's tears". Actually its kind of traditional drink with longan inside. Its very famous among locals and taste nice. If you are lucky you can find "Muarchi" seller near with the "Air Mata Kucing" seller. Its kind of sweet sticky cake and based on the shop, she have sell it since long time ago. But, mostly its quiet hard to find it because even i have go there several times i just met her 2 times.

To reach petaling street, there are few choices you can take. First, You can drive and find parking around. But this will cost quiet expensive for the parking fee. You can also take rapid kl bus, LRT (nearest station is Pasar Seni) and also monorail (nearest station is Maharajalela).

“Hong Kong transplanted to KL”

No shortage of t-shirts and knock-offs here. People are not shy to try to get you into their stalls, especially the DVD guys.

“Not bad but complicated place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

Pickpockets have to beware.
Very happening at night with lots of pasarmalam( night market) stuffs; clothes fake bags watches shoes and flowers and food stalls along the street. Chatime at the end of the street.
Crowd starts to thin around 10pm.
Morning usually just breakfast stalls with pau and mee. More stalls at 9-10am.
Popular bookstore around the vicinity. A cafe opposite popular bookatore selling awesome fresh durian tarts(seasonal though).

“Not a "must visit"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

Not my favorite place in KL but was interesting to see. This place is great if you are looking for fake brand name items. There are watches, handbags, shoes, and wallets. The place was narrow at certain places and it makes me a little nervous as it's an ideal place for pick pockets so just watch your things carefully. There are skimpily dressed Chinese women offering "massages" along the alley way. My husband was approached by a pimp when we were there. Not impressed by the place as there are better Chinatown but interesting to go by if you happen to be in the area.
